Minimal, atmospheric, deep, obscure, murky and wistfully poetic: here's the new Noise Trade Company, the project led by the elettronic/industrial/post-punk alchemist Gianluca Becuzzi and Elena De Angeli.
Unfaithful Believers is the album that in 2014 will delight fans by a repertoire full of alienanting, pale sound, supported mainly by skeletal scans of drum machines, expanded dark-ambient noises, reverberating Badalmenti/Tarantino-like arpeggios performed by Fabrizio Biscontri and by the significant vocal expressions sung by the two protagonists.
Evocative harmonies, lyrics of great effect, aesthetic and brave experimentalism add charm to the structures of the ten songs included in the tracklist, with a strong, movie-like atmosphere. Stories of forbidden love and death, passion consummated in secret, Beauty and Evil merge in the echo of a ‘place of the mind’ which could be Twin Peaks.
After a year from the previous "Reformation" the platform offers a new full-lengh which, if listened with complete partecipation, will offer nocturnal glimpses, decadent images, darkness and feelings of perdition.

Serbian duo Sixth June - Laszlo Antal and Lidija Andonov - just released a new 5 track 12'' EP entitled "Pleasure". They play minimal, industrial synthesized music – digging into the colder corners of the synthetic Eighties for inspiration (Gary Numan, John Foxx, Depeche Mode).
Sixth June started their musical adventure back in 2007 and they are considered one of the purest talents in the minimal synth new scene. Rising from the obscure music scene in Belgrade, they re-based some years ago in the analog synthesizer paradise called Berlin.
Solstafir and Legend release a CASSINGLE version of their 7' split on Artoffact Records.
After selling out their limited-to-300 units 7" vinyl split, Icelandic artists Legend and Solstafir announced last week that they would be re-issuing the two cover tracks on the rarely-used and retro cassingle format. The cassingle format was chosen as a way to release radio masters, which were commissioned to give the tracks a boost on the Icelandic national radio, RUV. The original vinyl masters remain exclusive to the vinyl format but are also available to download from iTunes.
The cassingle edition is limited to 100 copies, of which nearly 80 sold in the first 48 hours. The cassingles come in six different collector colours, each colour chosen by a band-member. The most popular colours, translucent red and turquoise, sold out within hours. Each cassingle also comes with a download coupon, so fans that no longer have a cassette player can listen to the radio masters and compare them to the vinyl masters.
The bands also announced a reprint of their split 7", this time on translucent green vinyl. The reprinted 7"s come bundled with a cassingle and are not available on their own.
The split 7" with each band covering the other has proven to be popular with the bands' fanbases. The Solstafir cover was streamed exclusively on Pitchfork in January, and the Legend cover was streamed exclusively on Last Rites. Following this, Terrorizer held a contest for a free 7" and streamed both tracks. This week, the release is featured on the front page of iTunes Metal in the United States.
The two artists have often collaborated in the past. Halldor Bjornsson, Legend's keyboarder, played keyboards on Solstafir's 2011 album Svartir Sandar (which went to number 7 in Finland and number 1 in Iceland). Bjornsson was also seen in photos posted to Facebook recently collaborating with Solstafir on recording their new album, due out late 2014 on Season of Mist. The artists have also appeared on the same bill at many festivals, including Iceland Airwaves, Eistnaflug, and Reykjavik's 2012 Anti-Christmas Festival, where Legend's Krummi got on stage with Solstafir and aided with vocal duties.
Ever since the Swiss musicians ushered in the return of the Spaghetti Western to the world of dub with their debut album “Nitro”, they have impressed the press and audiences alike with their passion for playing, their sure instinct for sounds, their equally humorous and respectful dubification of popular hits (including Metallica’s Enter Sandman) and their immense technical skill. Riddim heard “a new sound-sphere where typical fat, stoic dub beats contrast with hand-played instruments and experimental sounds”. Jazzthetik praised the “fantastically tight band, formidable interior dynamic and supremely competent mixdowns”. Jazzthing wrote that “their psychedelic dub sound, which is occasionally interspersed by western guitar riffs and true rock solos, sounds wonderfully acoustic and analogue.” And The Wire had to admit that “it sounds cheesy and it shouldn´t work, but it does.”
Since their debut album the band have released five more studio albums, including the Clash tribute album “The Clashification of Dub”, plus a live album and a remix compilation with selective dubs by Victor Rice from Sao Paulo/Brazil.
Their new album celebrates William S. Burroughs and pays tribute to this centenary, marking a new pop-cultural highlight in their work. With the official support and assistance of the William S. Burroughs Foundation in the United States, the band has succeeded in creating a heavy ambience masterpiece in 15 chapters.
