Third Window Films are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2 cult, but very different types of films from Japan.
First off is the very well-known and big budget LESSON OF EVIL from Takashi Miike (from Ichi The Killer-fame!), which has been a big hit at all genre film festivals and frequently requested by our audience, so we are happy to be able to add it to our 2014 lineup. Third Window will aim for a small theatrical and then will bring it out on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD, with the video releases to contain a 2 hour long making of!
On the other side of the spectrum from the big name and big studio we have Eiji Uchida’s GREATFUL DEAD which is a totally off-the-wall mix of black comedy and strangeness which has drawn many comparisons to Sion Sono and especially LOVE EXPOSURE, but goes even further with its level of dark humour and violence.
Surprisingly it’s still pretty unknown, with it so far only having played at 2 festivals with both Raindance in the UK and Fantastic Festival in the States giving it good showings
'Mare morphosis' forms the third & final part of TROUMs so called 'Power Romantic' trilogy that started with 'Mare Idiophonika' in 2010. The basic materials & arrangements for this one long epic piece were created from 2009-2013 (partly based on the recordings for the 'Bach Eingeschaltet, Dritter Band' 7" dealing with experimental reworkings of J.S.BACH pieces) & to some extent used live in different live-programmes: A piece like an 'Ocean of Transformations', morphing through various stages of intensity.
'Mare morphosis' stands out in the history of TROUM studio-albums as their most symphonic, refined and orchestral effort so far. Cover photography by Paul Takahashi, graphic design by Tilmann Benninghaus (8 panel fold out digipack). First edition: 1000 copies.
It is always the same with those muses. Much too often, they cast their spells briefly, fit a certain event, moment, a zeitgeist forgotten much too quickly. Those who want to pass the test of time need to have more than just good lucks or a fair share of luck. They need to establish trends instead of copying them, need to lead where others follow. And that's exactly what TYING TIFFANY is doing since 2005. She floats through her very own seducing cosmos, enchants with a style that is as authentic as it is flawless, provides fresh impulse with her unmistakable sound. With „Drop“, she dives even deeper down into her universe of technoid Electro, Wave, Ambient and Indie.
Life is not happening in sterile night clubs and posh bars. It happens under the streets, in the shadows – places where the swells never dare to go. Here, right at the pulse of the underground, life is different, the rules are different. An altogether different regiment sets the tone. And TYING TIFFANY is its queen. „Drop“ proves this once again and invites into a shimmering, uncanny, wicked and yet gentle Electro fairy tale that echoes through the night. She is the night, and with her driving rhythms, her luscious voice and this simply unbeatable atmosphere of nocturnal loneliness she embodies all that each and every one of us connects with a perfect night: Sex, fun, sensibility. Forevermore.

Berlin's enfants terribles OST+FRONT send out their very own form of Season?s Greetings with ?Liebeslied.? The new single will be released as a special white vinyl 7?, strictly limited to 388 hand numbered copies, world wide.
Liebeslied/ Oh please not another love song! Not another soothing ballad blatantly dripping with pathos right on time for the Christmas business! Anyone already prematurely coughing up bile expecting an unbearable overdose of emotional sweetness will be comforted to know that all is not as it seems and that the Berliners have not strayed from their trademark course of writing bitingly cynical songs laced with ice-cold irony.
Hence, "Liebeslied" is not your run-of-the-mill emotional kitsch but rather a quite caustic ode to love itself. The song is also quite a massive and addictively catchy ride on a wall of extra-fat guitars with adequately anthemic qualities.
The b-side "Winter Ade" almost feels like an antithesis to the impulsive title track, telling a tragic story in measured, elegiac bombast and delivering emotional impact in a rather nihilistic fashion.
The classy white 7" vinyl single is strictly limited to 388 hand numbered copies and serves as the ideal appetizer for the upcoming album "Olympia", scheduled for release in early 2014. A must-own for fans and the ideal gift to celebrate a slightly off-beat Holiday Season!
