25 years on, and “Kathy’s Song (Come Lie Next To Me)” still does what it always did: direct, emotional, and instantly there when you need it. As part of the anniversary run, Apoptygma Berzerk keep things moving with the “Kathy’s Song XXV” EP, out July 10, 2026 - this time landing on vinyl for those who still like their music with a bit of weight to it.
Apoptygma Berzerk have always moved between styles without losing their identity. From sharper electronic edges to more melodic, almost fragile moments, Stephan Groth built something that connects beyond trends and “Kathy’s Song” is one of those tracks that proves it. It’s been part of sets, playlists and memories for decades, and somehow still feels right in the moment. This release doesn’t try to change that. It keeps the core intact and lets others circle around it.
Two vinyl editions are lined up:
White vinyl — limited to 222 numbered copies, including poster and signed card
Black vinyl — limited to 777 copies worldwide
Remixes come from Zone Tripper, Frak, and Mental Overdrive: each bringing a slightly different angle, but all respecting what made the original work in the first place.
