Another postpunk band that see their work brought back to life on vinyl. The band itself was discovered when the Londeners opened for Bauhaus. They were then booked with 4AD but only lasted a few years, just until the end of 1982. They did reform for a short while to make a few new songs for the compilation "13 (Lucky For Some)".

Both records are from the early eighties and sound very recognisable, Joy Division with a bit more spikes and the vocals are similar to Pere Ubu's David Thomas, be it less excentric. None of the songs really stand out, they are good quality postpunk songs but I can't shake the feeling that this is a cheap way to get some more money out of your pockets.

Their best output is not on this release anyway, in december 1980 they did a John Peel recording featuring the 12 minute monolith "Fatal Day". That one is a lot harder to find so why it's not included here is beyond me.

Collectors know that these records are not very difficult to track down so for a bit more money you can have the real deal. It's obvious that the supply of forgotten new wave bands is not endless... or maybe they need to look a bit better? A missed opportunity!
