JASON MOLINA

It took about 7 years for Jason Molina’s last record to get released. Finally. Nine meditative tracks exploring the last era of the great, who, at that point, had already found his unique style and had an experimental period. Experimental notes are still strong on the record but more as various creative decisions: percussive sounds at “Shadow Answers The Wall” or background sounds of “Fire On The Rail”. Molina’s ability to create an atmosphere with a minimum of instruments and sounds fully distinguished itself on the last track – “The Crossroad + The Emptiness”. Filled with a Robert Johnson type of singing it became the ideal ending for Jason Molina’s last great Oda.
