Red Lorry Yellow Lorry fans, your attention please. We have some excellent news for you;

More than 30 years after their last ‘Blasting Off’ album they are now back with a brand-new EP ('Driving Black') and, yes! Next year, february 2025, a whole new studio album (‘Strange Kind Of Paradise’).

To be able to listen to the full EP you will have to wait ‘til it’s released on december 6 but in the meantime we can already present you their new single ‘Driving Black (Ding's Remix)’. And as we are used from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry; they do not disappoint.

But first a little about The Lorries (as they are also known).

Red Lorry Yellow Lorry formed in 1981 in Leeds (UK) and are known for their dark, jarring, minimalist sound; a distinctive mix of Post-Punk, Goth Rock & Punk topped with Industrial influences.

Led by founding member Chris Reed’s typical brooding vocals and Dave ‘Wolfie’ Wolfenden’s characteristic guitar playing their music breeds raw and mesmerizing energy.

With the albums ‘Talk About the Weather’ (1985), ‘Paint Your Wagon’ (1986), ‘Nothing Wrong’ (1988), ‘Blow’ (1989), ‘Blasting Off’ (1992) and singles such as ‘Talk About the Weather’, ‘Walking on Your Hands’, ‘Monkeys on Juice’, ‘Hollow Eyes’, ‘Spinning Round’, ‘Cut Down’, ‘Nothing Wrong’, ‘Temptation’ and ‘Crawling Mantra’, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry achieved critical acclaim and a significant lasting underground & cultural influence.

So, back to the EP and their new single;

'Driving Black' features three exclusive tracks alongside three distinctive mixes from the upcoming new album.

‘Driving Black (Ding's Remix)’, the single we present you, is a complete new recorded studio version of the song featured on the in 2004 released demo EP ‘Black Tracks’ in an exclusive mix by the band's bassist and producer, Simon 'Ding' Archer (known for his work with The Fall, 1919, PJ Harvey, and Pixies).

To add, there’s also a second mix of ‘Driving Black’, done by John Fryer, legendary producer renowned for his work with Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails & Cocteau Twins.

In short: 6 tracks 100% Full-Steam-Post-Punk-Power, as we are used from The Lorries. You are going to put your finger on the ‘volume-up’ button of your music player!
