THE JUGGERNAUTS — The Juggernauts Are Coming - Extended

When The Juggernauts Are Coming first landed in 2016, Belgian electro-industrial/EBM act The Juggernauts announced themselves with uncompromising force. Nearly a decade later, The Juggernauts Are Coming – Extended re-issue not only revives that initial impact, but significantly expands it, offering a definitive document of the band’s early years and raw creative intent.

The album still hits like a mechanized battering ram. From the militant pulse of the title track to the snarling urgency of cuts like “Plastic World” and “Follow,” The Juggernauts balance classic EBM severity with a contemporary edge. Influences from genre titans are evident, yet never dominant; this is a band that understands the discipline of EBM while injecting it with modern aggression, crisp production, and a confrontational attitude that feels timeless rather than nostalgic.

What elevates this re-issue is the inclusion of all tracks from the band’s debut EP Phoenix as bonus material. Presented here as extra tracks, Phoenix adds crucial context to the album, revealing the embryonic form of the Juggernauts’ sound: harsher, more primitive, and fiercely direct. These tracks underscore the band’s evolution while maintaining the same sense of urgency and defiance that defines the main album.

Physically, The Juggernauts Are Coming – Extended is equally impressive. The release comes as a 3-panel digipak, complete with a full-color 12-page lyrics booklet and stickers, making it a highly desirable collector’s item. With the edition strictly limited to 300 copies, it’s a tangible celebration of underground culture in an era increasingly dominated by digital ephemera.

This re-issue isn’t just a rehash — it’s a statement. For longtime fans and EBM newcomers alike, The Juggernauts Are Coming – Extended stands as a powerful reminder that true industrial momentum never fades; it simply reloads and marches on.
