New York's best known indie folk band is Zachary F. Condon's Beirut. After scoring a huge hit with Nantes and two great albums his third "The Rip Tide" is available since the end of august. The special edition CD and LP packaging came out like a dream- sturdy, embossed, cloth-bound wonders that honestly just feel different than damn near every record or CD we’ve ever picked up off a shelf- there is a weight to them.
