Formed in Hull in 1980, Nyam Nyam issued a rare debut single before attracting the attention of New Order bassist Peter Hook, who produced electro classic Fate for release on Factory Benelux in 1982. The band also tweaked the interest of 4AD label boss Ivo Watts-Russell, releasing the album Hope of Heaven in 1984 and EP The Architect in 1985, both issued on Situation Two and sleeved by Vaughan Oliver (23 Envelope).
The album Hope Of Heaven is now out on LTM.
Digitally remastered and featuring 18 tracks, this extended CD features all tracks from Hope of Heaven and The Architect together with boths ides of the first 7" single and the extended 12" version of Fate, along with brand new track Doubt. The package also features a 16 page booklet featuring archive images and detailed sleevenotes from Paul Trynka, Trevor Simpson, Peter Hook and designer Vaughan Oliver.
