Industrial Electronic Rock Artist Blue Eyed Christ have released their long anticipated album A Rush and a Thrill!
This album is really special to me because I’ve been working on and off on it for over 10 Years! I’m in the studio everyday helping other artists work on their music so often I go though periods of time of putting my songs aside but am always drawn back to them.
I still approach albums in a holistic cinematic sense where I like them to have an arc and take me into their world. Too many albums these days are just a collection of songs that are all the same length, tempo, and style while all trying to be the single. A Rush and a Thrill is a diverse album that takes you on a journey from start to finish. Some songs are more guitar oriented, some more electronic, some are the heaviest and fastest songs I’ve ever released, and some are slow and melancholy. There really should be something here for everyone… from Heavy Industrial Rock to EBM. - John D. Norten

About Blue Eyed Christ:
Blue Eyed Christ is the Industrial Rock Project of established Mixer/Producer/Engineer John D. Norten. John has worked with many of the biggest artists in music helping them achieve their visions (Cee Lo, Dr. Dre, Lady Gaga, Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas).
In contrast, Blue Eyed Christ is 100% John’s artistic vision. That vision is a dark, powerful, and visceral combination of heavy electronic rock mixed with personal lyrics and just the right amount of hooks and noise.
In 1991, while still in his teens, Chicago's John D. Norten signed his first international recording contract under the name Blue Eyed Christ to Europe's infamous KK Records. The first Album, Leaders + Followers, was released that same year. The album received universally excellent reviews worldwide in numerous publications including Alternative Press. Blue Eyed Christ still enjoys a loyal following today and Leaders + Followers is considered an EBM classic.
In 1995 John wrote the second Blue Eyed Christ Album, Crash. At the same time he assembled an intense live band that helped further create a buzz throughout the music industry.
In 1996 John moved to Los Angeles to further his studio career with other established artists. Still desiring his own creative outlet, 2002 saw the release of the third Blue Eyed Christ album, American Whore.
Now, 12 Years since American Whore John resurrects Blue Eyed Christ once again to show the world his own unique brand of songwriting, production, and studio savvy. The new album, A Rush and a Thrill, is a whirlwind ride straight into the psyche of John D. Norten and the world of Blue Eyed Christ.
