A-Film informs us that on 8th July 2014 they will release the highly acclaimed thriller Metro Manila on both DVD and Blu-ray.
Seeking a brighter future in megacity Manila, Oscar Ramirez and his family flee their impoverished life in the rice fields of the northern Philippines. But the sweltering capital's bustling intensity quickly overwhelms them, and they fall prey to the rampant manipulations of its hardened locals. Oscar catches a lucky break when he's offered steady work for an armored truck company and gregarious senior officer Ong takes him under his wing. Op zoek naar een betere toekomst ontvluchten Oscar Ramirez en zijn familie de erbarmelijke omstandigheden van het leven in de rijstvelden. Ze gaan op zoek naar goed betaald werk in de miljoenenstad Manila. Als Oscar een vaste baan aangeboden krijgt als beveiliger van een geldtransport, kan zijn geluk niet op.
