'HINTERLAND’ the fourth single from East India Youth’s debut album ‘TOTAL STRIFE FOREVER’ is released September 15th. Inspired by Will’s forays into the world of dance music, the idea behind the video was conjured up by visual wizard Dan Tombs - who worked with East India Youth on the visual aspect his UK tour with Wild Beasts.
The release will be available as a download and limited 12” vinyl single, the vinyl format includes a remix by Katja Waske and the digital features an additional version of ‘HINTERLAND’ recorded live.
‘TOTAL STRIFE FOREVER’ was released in January and is still earning considerable praise for its ambitious vision, individuality and the obvious quality of the album as a whole. Last week it was nominated in the ‘Independent Album Of The Year’ category of the 2014 AIM Awards. This on top of already featuring at No.2 in The Guardian readers Albums of the Year (so far) poll and similarly at No.2 in The Quietus’ Albums of the Year (so far) list.
