Side-Line launches follow-up to the free mega-compilation 'Face The Beat 1' - send your submissions now for 'Face The Beat 2' !
Ever since we launched the free "Face the beat 1" compilation a few years ago, Side-Line has been receiving requests from readers, bands and labels to 'please please' launch a follow-up to that first compilation (which reached over 24.000 downloads). After some debate inside the Side-Line team we at Side-Line will once again compile a new free download compilation: "Face the beat 2", which will be released for free on our forthcoming Bandcamp page.
The styles which we will accept for this compilation are the following: IDM - Electronics - EBM - Endzeit - Synthpop/electropop - Shoegaze and all of its subgenres. It doesn't matter whether you are signed to a label or not, what matters is your music. Please notice (and this is VERY important) that we cannot accept entrees from members of rights organisations such as ASCAP/GEMA/etc., for this reason we cannot accept covers either.
You can submit your material (3 songs maximum and preferably previously unreleased material whether it be tracks or remixes) in MP3 format in the following ways:
- email: to info@side-line.com with subject "Face the beat 2 submission" + add band info
- dropbox: send to info@side-line.com + add band info
The deadline is March 15, 2015, first in is first served - if you are selected we will inform you the latest on March 25th, 2015 after which you'll be sent some paperwork.
All promotion around this compilation will happen via Side-Line. We hope to reach the same amount of people as with the first compilation which was the first of its kind on Facebook.
We hope that we can count on your label and/or band too to send us some material for inclusion. The compilation will also act as a 25th anniversary present to our readers offering what we consider to be the best music out there from bigger and smaller labels and unsigned acts.
