Synopsis:

The band was encouraged at the request of Mark and the Reale estate to forge ahead in his honor and will dedicate this new offering to him. The album promises to please fans of the ‘Thundersteel’ era of RIOT as main song writer and long time Reale music collaborator Don Van Stavern does much of the writing as he did on ‘Thundersteel’ and ‘The Privilege of Power’.DVSis joined by long time RIOT band mate, song writer and Reales guitar partner of over 20 years Mike Flyntz to create what they feel is something they are proud to call a RIOT record and Reale would have thought that as well. RIOT has a tumultuous history of member, label and management changes throughout the bands 30 plus year career but one things for sure, a bands longevity is through good music and if this new record is any proof, they will be around for years to come.

This line up released several albums and did tours but eventually after many industry, media and fan requests for the reformation of the legendary Thundersteel power metal line-up Reale contacted former members and the plan was put into action!
 
RIOT’s classic ‘Thundersteel’ and‘Privilege of Power line-up reformed for a limited reunion in 2009 and delivered another ground breaking disc ‘IMMORTAL SOUL’. Released by major metal heavy weights Spv/ Steamhammer &Avalon/ Marquee, and a successful Tour with performances on the prestigious Royal Caribbean 70,000 Tons of Metal oceanliner concert and appearances at Sweden Rock and Metalway festivals solidified RIOT’s long sought after return a success, but success doesnt come without tragedy. Widely banned on release, its notoriety has not diminished and this harrowing tale of a depraved Texan clan and its chain-saw-wielding icon of horror Leatherface continues to stun and disturb audiences like no other film.
 
Supervised by director Tobe Hooper, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has received a stunning 4K restoration and 7.1 audio mix, looking and sounding like never before. The film will be released as a two-disc limited edition Steelbook blu-ray with brand new artwork created by Doaly and stacked with brand new bonus features, a standard two-disc Blu-ray, with reversible sleeve featuring the new artwork and the original U.S. poster artwork will also be available, on 17 November 2014.

For the first time in his career, Dutch film director Paul Verhoeven will be making a French film. 

The psychological thriller is based on Philippe Djian’s novel Oh. This will be first film in eight years for the 76 year old director.

Djian won the Prix Interallié in 2012 for Oh. The story is about a woman’s hunt for the man who raped her. Isabelle Huppert will play the female lead role.

The first recordings are scheduled for January. The film’s release date is still unknown.

Verhoeven directed American films Basic Instinct, Robocop, Total Recall and Starship Troopers as well as Dutch films Zwarte Boek and Soldaat van Oranje.
