Amidst the Circling Spires is a captivating electro-ambient journey into an interior space, weaving visions of strong emotional impact. Sylvi’s heavenly voice drifts within the highly processed acoustic sounds created by Alio Die: a hybrid between – sonorous soundscapes and acoustic mysticism. The treated tones are an essential magma – organic and animated – luring the listener in like an ancestral call or an ancient saga. The loops, played with carillon, kalimba, zither, different objects and field recordings, blend into finely-detailed layered and treated.

Atmospheres for the night journey | The Long Night is a deep-breathing sigh of the eternal nocturnal: gossamer atmospheres for the still hours of the night. Focusing on non-rhythmic, textural-harmonic electronic soundscapes, this collaboration unfurls like slow-moving, moonlit clouds. Although The Long Night leaves the lighted world behind, its midnight path leads to a state of gleaming serenity and calmness. This music is contemplative, though not brooding: a meditative environment filled with open spaces and tendrils of sound composed of shifting subtle moods and gleaming electronic passages.
Review will follow soon at Peek-A-Boo.

Tickets and info : monotone@hotmail.be
MONOTONE vzw is looking for Belgian bands to perform at their events:
Mission: The association aims to offer a supportive platform for musical bands or other forms of artistic expression in the broad sense of the word.
How does this work?
The association takes care of the entire organization of the event: this is the rent of the hall, taking care of the necessary infrastructure, promotion and support on the day of the event.
Since we are a non-profit association, we return 70% of the profit (after deduction of all costs) to the performers/bands. The other 30% we keep for ourselves, and we use it as a buffer for the organization of the next event.
It is therefore, the organization that decides where (location), when (date) and which resources (promotion) are being used. Prior balance deployment of resources, the final cost and the chances of success of the event, will be watched carefully.
To provide the association operating funds we prefer to work with members. The cost of membership is only €10. As members offer support to the association to organize the event, they still enjoy a discounted entry, as opposed to non - members.
Interested in our work? Want to join? Want to perform? Or do you just want to order a card for an event? For more info contact us !

Sacred Bones announces 7' for new Australian duo: Prolife (ex-Slug Guts)
Sacrted Bonesare very pleased to introduce you to Prolife, an anti-suicide band formed in the ashes of death rock enthusiasts and Sacred Bones label alumni Slug Guts. After Slug Guts’ last U.S. tour James Dalgliesh (vocals) and Nicholas Kuceli (saxaphone) returned to their flat on Lygon St. (in Melbourne, Australia) and decided to buy some pedals to make noisy landscapes for the modern asthmatic gentleman to lie awake to at night.
Using toy keyboards and some real ones they developed minimal two track techno into a set of sprawling song based sets and played some shows with Jonny Telafone, Forces, Asps and Lakes. Their first proper release, this 7”, was recorded and produced by themselves with the help of Todd Dixon who has specifically asked not to be named here. They are planning to record a full length LP in early 2014.
