Break-out within herself! LEANDRA has been very busy beside her solo-trail since her debut album “Metamorphine”: Due to a split she turned her back on her former band JOE. She impressed and joined Diary Of Dreams, followed by Apoptygma Berzerk and recently played together with the most successful German Acts of 2013 Die Priester and Santiano.
Beside that LEANDRA made some guest performances with Die Kassierer and Frei.Wild. No wonder it took her five years to finish her next solo-longplay album. Was it an educational journey or was she only looking for some inspiration? “Of course I wanted to gain experience on stage and play together with different bands, but when it became dangerous and I felt that I fall apart I had to cut things off. It was after the long touring with Santiano that I realized I couldn’t be myself at this job any longer. Mostly because of dollar symbols in my eyes I went too far” – says the stage workaholic LEANDRA.
After a mental breakdown and a burn-out hospital-stop LEANDRA was aware of the fact that she spent too much time with the ideas of other people. “The tour with Apoptygma Berzerk was the freest I have ever made in my life. I felt that I was able to present and perform this kind of music with all my heart and soul, even if it wasn't me who wrote it. Everything that followed after I practically compared with this tour. Through it I learned that I am allowed to unconditionally be myself and that I don't need to pretend.” Influences by Apoptygma Berzerk are unmistakable on Isomorphine, especially the track “Calling” - a duet with Stephan L. Groth.
Suicide Commando, one of the most influential pioneers of hard electronic dance music, are taking you to the „Unterwelt“ (German for „underworld“.) The celebrated club hit from the charts-hitting album “When Evil Speak” is the evil heart of this floor filling maxi CD that sports a massive 9 tracks and is limited to 999 copies.
“Ich will dich bluten sehen!” (=”I want to see you bleed!”) When a track that shouts out such a provocative phrase like a battle cry, pretty much any intelligent life form should be aware that this is not gonna be a trip to the countryside. And with the first heavy beats, massive bass-onslaughts and evil shouts you do know that you are not in Kansas anymore but have entered Johan van Roy’s personal “Unterwelt” … an extremely dancefloor-compatible ride from Suicide Commando, that is. In the underground clubs around the globe, the raw Harsh-Electro-anthem from the charts-approved album “When Evil Speaks” has already become part of the mandatory rotation, making the song a sure shot for a single. With a whopping seven remixes of the title track (by Reaper, Binary Park, Acylum, Wynardtage and more), a thudding rework of “Monster” and the exclusive song “Body Machine Body”, this MCD almost runs at album length and is a merciless club-onslaught, limited to 999 copies world wide. Nimm meine Hand… dann zeig’ ich dir die Unterwelt
After several years of maintenance DIE KRUPPS greased the machines and shook off the dust to open their factory gates again.
The long-awaited new album „THE MACHINISTS OF JOY“ is rolled off the assembly line on 25.10.2013. With this most recent effort DIE KRUPPS seamlessly pick up the streak of their genre-defining releases in the '80's and '90's. Referring to their top-10 billboard-hit from 1989 "MACHINERIES OF JOY", the album title already hints at a stronger focus on electronic sounds, rather than guitars, which dominates the current outfit of DIE KRUPPS. However, resolute riffs have been worked into the songs very pointedly. Eventually DIE KRUPPS still deliver „Metal Machine Music“ - heavy, danceable, sometimes epic machine-music, adorned with well-placed guitar attacks and the ever-onward hammering of the „steel-o-phone“, paired with critical contemporary lyrics, setting themselves off from the usual stuff that has become the norm today.

Goth metal act Lovelorn Dolls release video for latest single 'After Dark'
Out now is "After Dark" the newest video for the Belgian goth metal act Lovelorn Dolls. "After Dark" is also the name of the band's latest single (released as an 8-track EP) and is taken from the album "The House of Wonders" which was released earlier this year in March 2013 on the Belgina label Alfa Matrix.
The new video was animated and directed by Emily Weeks (a well-established name in today's alternative music video scene by now) who created a beautiful microcosmos for Lovelorn Dolls' music. The concept and story was arranged by Lovelorn Dolls' Kristell Lowagie and graphical artist Emily Weeks while the track was mastered by Victor Love from Dope Stars Inc.
