On 26 November 1982 Siouxsie and the Banshees released the double A-sided single 'Melt!' as the second single from their fifth studio album A Kiss in the Dreamhouse. It was released by Polydor Records and featured the song 'Il Est Né, Le Divin Enfant', a track which does not appear on the album.
The sensual lyrics of 'Melt!' compare an intense sexual interlude with a lover to dying. Its lyrics can also allude to a S&M encounter "...Handcuffed in lace, blood and sperm / Swimming in poison / Gasping in the fragrance / Sweat carves a screenplay / Of discipline and devotion..."
'Il est né, le divin Enfant' was an adaptation of a traditional French Christmas carol. This track was exclusive to this single, and remained unreleased on LP or CD for many years until the appearance of the Siouxsie and the Banshees box set Downside Up in 2004.
The single peaked at number 49 in the UK Singles Chart and was released as 7" and 12" single.

Melt! - lyrics
You are the melting men
You are the situation
There is no time to breathe
And yet one single breath
Leads to an insatiable desire
Of suicide... in sex
So many blazing orchids
Burning in your throat
Making you choke
Making you sigh
Sigh in tiny deaths
So Melt!
My lover, melt!
She said melt!
My lover, melt!
You are the melting men
And as you melt
You are beheaded
Handcuffed (in lace and blood and sperm)
Swimming in poison
Gasping in the fragrance
Sweat carves a screenplay
of discipline...and devotion
So Melt!
My lover, melt!
She said melt!
My lover, melt!
Can you see?
See into the back of a long, black car
Pulling away from the funeral of flowers
With my hand between your legs
Melting...

On 26th November 1991 Siousxie and the Banshees released the U.S. only single ‘Fear (of the Unknown)’. It was released as the second U.S. single from the band's 10th studio album, Superstition. As this single was not released in the UK it became the only Siouxsie and the Banshees single not to be issued in their homeland.
Although the original version of ‘Fear (of the Unknown)’, as it appears on the album, was already a more uptempo and dance-oriented track with a lot of percussion work by drummer Budgie, it was still drastically remixed by Junior Vasquez to accentuate its 4/4 rhythm and give it a more house touch. When included on the 1992 compilation album Twice Upon a Time: The Singles, the track was presented in yet another version, being the fourth track on this single release.
The song became the Banshees' biggest hit in the U.S. climbing to number 6 in the Hot Dance/Disco chart.
The cover art is an homage to James Stewart's dream sequence in Alfred Hitchcock's film Vertigo.
‘Fear (of the Unknown)’ Lyrics)
I get the feeling -- I'm not alone
I get the feeling -- it's someone I don't know
Do you ever have the strange sensation
When you're standing mighty tall
To jump from 17 floors and crash into freefall?
But then fear takes control -- fear of the unknown
Imagines two complete strangers
Who suspect they were meant to be
Both in need of love and affection
Yet their suspicions prevent something heavenly
Fear takes control -- fear of the unknown
Aware of what will hurt you
You're prepared to remain this way
So sad yet safe with your afflictions
Afraid to start a brand new day
We all get the strangest feeling
When we're standing mighty tall
To jump from 17 floors and crash into freefall
But then fear carries all -- fear of the unknown
Fear takes its toll -- fear of the unknown
Aware of what will hurt you
You're prepared to remain this way
So sad yet safe with your afflictions
Afraid to start a brand new day

With ”Mit dir” (transl. “With You”), Projekt Ich aka Ulf Müller is going to release the ninth single from the forthcoming second studio album which will be released via Echozone in spring 2022.
Following the successful debut album “By Train Through Countries” (2019), Ulf took a short creative break before getting back to work again. He produced several demo songs to continue the debut album’s proven concept of cooperating with various talented singers from all over the world.
This time Ulf was able to get the vocal support of Magdalena Herfurtner (ex EYCROMON) from Madil Hardis. She wrote the brilliantly worded German lyrics and the impressive vocal melody of "Mit dir". With her expressive and crystal-clear, high-pitched voice as well as her intense vocals Magdalena puts the finishing touches to the song.
The lyrics of the dark-tinted indie pop song “Mit dir” will resonate with a lot of listeners as they deal with experiences made which shattered to find hope in the here and now; to let something new grow and mature while thinking about the past because it is hope that is known to die last. No life without love and without love there is no life?
"Mit dir" features the original track as well as a whopping 20 intense and genre crossing remixes by bands and artists like Kim Lunner (NO), Nature of Wires (UK), Patrik Kambo (SW), Dark Vanilla (DE), Mind:Code (DE), POS.:2 (DE), Blackened (CA), Elektrojudas (DE), Obsession of Time (SW), Steffrey Yan (CA), Elmodic (DE), Moyom (CA), Faltenhall (DE), Fingerprinted Cheese (ZA), Perpacity (US), V-nerV (DE), Retrograth (SW), Yan and Yellowfin (CA), Terrance Pryor (US) and U.M. Fiedel (DE), an instrumental remix version by Kim Lunner plus the original’s instrumental.
A lyric video of the song will be released at the same time followed by further lyric videos published in loose succession of the remix versions by Nature Of Wires, Kim Lunner and Patrik Kambo.
Markus Kühnel from Noctural Studios designed the front cover as well as all further artwork for the single release.
The entrance to the The Banshees garden of eden is held within the live recording “Nocturne”.
Released on the 25th of November-1983, this set acted as a makeshift ‘greatest hits’ although the sound and the performances are astounding that it transcends any best of label. For fans of Siouxsie And The Banshees this is perhaps their finest and most treasured moment, for newcomers do not be put off by the ‘Live’ tag, the quality is beyond compare to most other live-albums recorded then and perhaps still today.
A recording of two shows in London’s Royal Albert Hall captured the band at the height of their powers while on support of the sublime “A Kiss In The Dreamhouse”, with the added dimension of The Cure’s Robert Smith who stood in to handle guitar-duties for the tour, it is his feedback-screeches that invade the sound with whips of white-noise.
The performance was a milestone in eighties-music, the band work as a cohesive unit throughout as the conjuring of Siouxsie Sioux drags the passion from punk with all the dark-cool of goth. The hypnotic-beats created by Budgie and the layers of bass runs by Steve Severin cemented the foundations of what could only be described as emotional voodoo, ensnaring the listener as much as it had the audience.
There is tension mixed with drama and paranoia, “Eve White/Eve Black” highlights the psychological spell Siouxsie Sioux can manifest with howls and cries from the abyss into the ether, whereas the inclusion of two Beatles covers in the thundering “Helter Skelter” and the mesmerizing “Dear Prudence” showcases the influences which had crept into the bands sound.
A presence of demonic spirituality gathers in the versions here of “Paradise Place” and “Spellbound”, the more honed sound of punk seems to be eradicated and replaced with a dark sophistication of despair all the time though it is executed with brilliance, this is Siouxsie And The Banshees captured beautifully in their natural habitat, the stage.
“It hurts
There's a pain in my head
I wish it would stop
But it never stops”.
