Suicide Commando return with a hard-hitting club monster of an EP release. “Death Will Find You” delivers the goods in the form of two new songs, plus six floor-filling exclusive remixes.

Rummelsnuff releases double album / best of - “Salzig schmeckt der Wind”

24th of April 2018, 17:15

“Salzig schmeckt der Wind” (= the wind’s salty taste) is a retrospective of the musical history of Rummelsnuff. It features the singing muscleman’s greatest hits and classic tunes in newly remastered glory, with some of them re-recorded with the help of his sonic soulmate Mate Asbach, on a 2CD or double vinyl set.

A comprehensive compilation of the body of work of one of the most original Pop-artists to come out of Germany was long overdue. Starting out as an avant-garde-Punk-musician in the GDR to become a body builder and bouncer at Berlin’s legendary club “Berghain” and then a successful solo musician and press darling – Rummelsnuff’s story is as impressive as his muscular build, which is often described as a cross between Popeye and the incredible Hulk. Furthermore, most of his older works are long out of print, with an ever-growing fan base longing for the captain’s classic sports ballads, raw working man’s tunes and sea shanties. Hence, “Salzig schmeckt der Wind” does not only contain the titular maritime anthem – no, captain Rummelsnuff himself takes us on a journey through his oeuvre, from the beginnings in 2004 to the current creative highlight “Rummelsnuff & Asbach.”

Rummelsnuff and his trusty sidekick, Mate Asbach, have re-recorded a selection of classics to include them in new and improved versions and all songs have been expertly remastered and overhauled, hence this set will appeal to both new and old fans alike. In times where the music landscape is becoming more and more bland because everything tends to sound the same, we are in dire need of something original. And Rummelsnuff is so unique, raw and utterly lovable that he is pretty much the secret superhero of the German music scene. Captain – take us on a journey!

The Mexican-German band Rabia Sorda has recorded its hardest album to date “The World Ends Today

23rd of April 2018, 12:15

Bastards unite … because the world ends today! The Mexican-German band Rabia Sorda has recorded its hardest album to date from the competent hands of Nils Lesser (Cypecore).
“The World Ends Today” will be released in May as a double CD including the bonus mini-album “Explota! (La Bomba En Mi Cabeza)”. A punch in your face with unbridled ire… that is probably the easiest and shortest way to describe Rabia Sorda’s new album “The World Ends Today.” Thudding Electronica is in a constant clash with punky rhythms from drummer Maxx on a front of guitars from Marcus Engel to create an infernal foundation that whirling stage-dervish Erk Aicrag puts to excellent use to shout, scream and yell out his rage like there is no tomorrow. Nils Lesser’s tight mix wraps this smashing piece of wrath into a massive wall of noise that conveys the notion that Rabia Sorda might finally have arrived at the kind of sound that they always planned to achieve.
Call it Metal, Industrial, Electro-Punk or whatever you wish… it doesn’t really matter, as you will be wanting to smash up the room and rock out of control after the first song, anyway. On top of the 17 songs of the main album, the band also dishes up a bonus disc with 8 more new songs, experiments and remixes. The end is near! Let’s start a riot!
