The Celtic Circle Productions star shone briefly but intensely black. The label made a strong impact in the primordial soup of German dark electro and significantly pushed forward the fusion of techno and gothic. Now its founder Alfred Kaenders is dead.
According to information received, Alfred died on Monday morning April 8th, after a long illness.
In the early and mid-nineties he supplied the scene with groundbreaking albums from yelworC, Page12, Majestic and Putrefy Factor 7 as well as the popular “Celtic Circle Sampler” series. Then unfortunately unpaid bills and debts followed. The label failed, as did the magazine “Vertigo”.
Most recently, the man from Geldern was, among other things, active in fantasy circles and present at medieval markets. He was known for his “Parfume Noir” and as “The Mead Man”. According to his friends on social media, he had already made big plans for the summer season.
Bruno Kramm from Das Ich expresses his sadness there as follows: “Today I found out about the much too early death of the scene original Alfred Kaenders. He had a very eventful life story with many ups and downs, many legendary stories and events, but always with his mischievous smile that I will never forget. My thoughts are with his family. Farewell, old friend.”

De ster van Celtic Circle Productions schitterde kort maar intens zwart. Het label maakte een sterke impact in de oerfase van de Duitse dark electro en was een belangrijke drijfveer achter de fusie van techno en gothic. Nu is oprichter Alfred Kaenders helaas overleden.
Vaarwel, oude vriend."

Industrial rock band, KISS IS KILL recently unveiled their new full-length album, Anatomy Of Fear.
Anatomy Of Fear presents a highly introspective view by the artist looking back during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The last few years have been difficult for us all: a global pandemic, lockdowns, riots and political unrest. We’ve all lost so much. For many, it was a time of great fear: fear of getting sick, fear of failing relationships and a fear of the world our children might grow up in; also fear of the growing hatred and division. The album is about the unknown and the unknown breeds fear.
Says KISS IS KILL founder, James Chapple, "This album was a chance for me to analyze all my fears, reflect on them, and try to grow beyond them. The songs are, as usual for me, deeply personal. Reflections of love, death, loss and grief populate this collection of my anxieties made into song. All of my fears were charted so that I might understand and master them. This is my anatomy of fear."
Anatomy Of Fear is available on all major digital outlets including Bandcamp and Spotify.
Industrial rock band, FLEISCHKRIEG has just unleashed their new single, "I Believe In Gnomes".
“I Believe In Gnomes” is a song about our beliefs, who shapes them, and why. Many things that were too absurd to believe in (such as UFOs) have now been proven to be true. The crackpots have been vindicated. Now the gnomes ask us to consider what else have we been lied to about, and why. They ask us to examine our beliefs. Are they really ours to begin with or did we inherit them from a society bent on hiding the truth from us?
The single was Produced/Mixed/Mastered by Logan Mader who has produced and mixed acts such as Fear Factory, Divine Heresy, and Five Finger Death Punch.
"I Believe In Gnomes" is available on all major digital outlets including Spotify and Bandcamp.
Prague-based gothic rockers, Cathedral In Flames have just unveiled their new single, "Pale Rider."
The song is a tribute to both classic western movies and composer, Ennio Morricone. Obligatory massive choruses, gothic-rock western melodica and chiming guitars underscore a dark tale of an occult battle with cancer. Production was done by acclaimed producer, John Freyer,
The single is accompanied by a horror clip from midnight graveyard, where long-dead Cthulhu gunslingers come to life under the watchful eye of the foursome of Ambra, Phil, Gatsby and Billac. Gatsby, who portrays the grave desperado, even used an exact replica of Clint Eastwood's hat in the clip, whose quote introduces the entire song.
Vocalist and lyricist Phil Lee Fall says of the record, "We've always loved and used the western aspects in our take on gothic rock and we've taken it to the max in Pale Rider. Cowboy guitars, screaming cowboys, Clint Eastwood and Lovecraftian poetics. Total country overkill. And yet it fires like a very black devils hog on all cylinders."
And Gatsby, author of the music, adds: "I love westerns, Ennio Morricone, and I put all that into "Pale Rider." I wrote a darkly gothic cowboy shuffle with an eerily demonic chorus. The mix was an uphill battle, with John having to dip into his reserves of patience a lot to be satisfied, but the result is worth it! After all, it is the title track of the forthcoming album."
"Pale Rider" is released on the Musicraft label and is available on all major digital outlets including Bandcamp and Spotify.
