Museum Of Love (feat. LCD Soundsystem's Pat Mahoney) release The Remixes,

03rd of July 2015, 12:05

Museum of Love (Pat Mahoney of LCD Soundsystem + DJ McNany of Jee Day) return with a collection of tracks that bring last year's self-titled effort from daytime to nighttime, from the art gallery to the club, and from the minimal to the maximal.

The Remixes starts off with a brand new single, "Never Let It End," released last year as a super-limited vinyl-only 12”. "Never Let It End" is a classic DFA slo-motion banger - live drums, a pulsing bassline, and synth flourishes across its eight minutes - classic DFA sounds in every sense - all qualities accentuated and made even more bumping by a dance floor-shaking remix by Hardway Bros.

The remix lineup features reworks from a real “who’s-who” of contemporary & classic DJs and producers. Featured are Italian cosmic disco superstars Daniele Baldelli and Marco Dionigi, who turn in two separate remixes, tropical psychedelic shaman Secret Circuit (aka Eddie Ruscha Jr) , LA party monsters Daniel.T. & Cooper Saver, as well as top notch disco producers Bottin, Bjorn Torske & Young Marco.

Museum of Love’s The Remixes is released digitally on 30th June by DFA Records.

Black December have their album out

02nd of July 2015, 22:30

Black December was founded in the summer of 2014 to bring a heavy, melodic, raw, and emotion filled approach to modern hard-rock. Working with Co-Producer Marc Jordan (The Cult, Die Antwoord, Velvet Revolver) the band wrapped up production of their debut release titled "vol.1" in, ironically, December of 2014 and got together with world renowned Mastering Engineer Howie Weinberg (Metallica, Muse, Nirvana) to put the finishing touches on the album in the Winter of 2015. In March of 2015 Black December signed a global three-album deal with the legendary independent label, Metropolis Records. Shortly after signing, Black December was invited to play select shows with KMFDM to kick off their 2015 plans. Black December live is Eric Powell (16Volt) - Vocals, Guitar, Keith Hirschman - Drums, Bobby "Crowbob" Thomas (Proven) - Lead Guitar & Vocals, Kimber Parrish - Bass & Vocals, and Erik Gustafson - Guitars, Synths, Vocals

Classic 80's movie Fatal Attraction becomes a series....

02nd of July 2015, 19:35

Fox is developing an event series inspired by the Michael Douglas-Glenn Close thriller “Fatal Attraction,” Variety has confirmed.

Fox has given a script order to the hourlong drama, which hails from Paramount Television Production.

Maria and Andre Jacquemetton will exec produce and pen the script, with Stanley R. Jaffe and Anonymous Content’s Rosalie Swedlin serving as executive producers.

Described as a “reimagining” of the 1987 film, the series will follow a similar plot trajectory, in which a married man’s indiscretion comes back to haunt him.

NEWS 'Nirvana boy' Spencer Elden etched on vinyl by Cevin Key (Skinny Puppy)

'Nirvana boy' Spencer Elden etched on vinyl by Cevin Key (Skinny Puppy)

02nd of July 2015, 16:24

In 2003, when Spencer Elden, the baby featured on the cover of Nirvana's Nevermind, turned 12, he posed for another cover, that of Cevin Key's The Dragon Experience. The album is now being issued on vinyl via Toronto's Artoffact Records, who will further immortalize Elden's mythology by etching his image onto the vinyl.

The Dragon Experience is a collection of archival tracks which are now 30 years old. Originally recorded in 1985 in Key's apartment, the songs sat on cassette for many years before being rediscovered and dusted off by Ken Marshall. It was a very primitive home cassette studio setup, the same that brought Skinny Puppy's "The Center Bullet" and most of the bonus tracks from the Skinny Puppy debut, Bites.

Spencer Elden is featured on the cover of the The Dragon Experience vinyl reissue, as well as on the vinyl etching. Other images of Elden adorn the inside of the vinyl sleeve. His adult fame post-Nirvana has never waned: he has been interviewed and featured on CNN, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, and even had a documentary short made about him.

The 11-track album includes "Ambient Fruit," which was written by Skinny Puppy co-founder Nivek Ogre, and "Metamorphosis (Theme From The Trial)," a Kafka-inspired jam. The double-LP vinyl will be released in September in a gatefold sleeve. Several vinyl colours will be available, including an already-sold-out limited yellow, a blue version, and a standard black edition.
