Strong from the tsunami wave of response received from every corner of the world by their "Bad Case Of Fabulous" CD as well as its, no less than, 5 singles taken from this exciting album, JUNKSISTA did not take any time to rest. JUNKSISTA is already now back with their next full length shockwave entitled "High Voltage Confessions": an album that will once again undoubtedly generate lots of ink, blood, sweat, laugh, love and tears... “High Voltage Confessions” sounds like nothing else but what artists can produce when they do not deny their origins, when they do not try to follow trends and when they pursuit their very own and unique style... The German duo offers us again their characteristic fresh and electric mix of bursting grooves, funky guitars, deep basslines, catchy synth tunes, sensual half-sung half-spoken female vocals and JUNKSISTA's signature touch of tongue-in-cheek humour...
Versatile per definition and danceable per provocation, this new album is another sparkling cocktail of Pop, Electro, Rock, Funk and Dance, allowing both Boog and Diana S. to mix their eclectic wide range of influences at wish without any reserve, but also to sharpen and grow even more as producers, songwriters and lyricists. A clear maturity progression making their sonic message maybe a little less obvious and direct by adding some depth to the overall production while still keeping that straight "sing-along-in-no-time" catchiness, that second-degree "fun" approach, that unique authenticity that make JUNKSISTA who they are and what they are loved for...
While the recent "Live A Little" single made us wet for more with its irresistible pole dance cabaret groove, JUNKSISTA's new album guarantees you some more intense and highly emotional moments with songs like “Happiness”, “Confide”, the German-sung "Strom" or yet “The Truth”. "High Voltage Confessions" also of course holds its load of party songs with guaranteed dancefloor hits like the conflicting "I Hate You", the sexy "True Love" or yet the carrying opener "Get A Grip".
The album also features some special and juicy collaborations: with renowned singer, actress and 80's icon Jane Badler (remember the sexually charged villain Diana of cult classic television program ‘V’?) on "Live A Little", with Suicide Girl Gogo Blackwater on the memorable and addictive "Panties" as well as with live-member and designer artist Gaëlle Cinnamon for her lush Lolita-ish French vocals on the vintage synth pop "I Said". JUNKSISTA's hardcore fans will of course favour the in-your-face dirtiness of songs like "Strictly Physical", "Sex On A Stick" or yet the unmatched hyper groovy hip-hop anthem "P.I.T.T." (Punch In The Twat) featuring hilarious vocal recordings from fans who joined a competition organised by the band on their junk galore blog...
A high energy and pretty much addictive masterpiece to enjoy and consume without moderation: dance and shake your ass to JUNKSISTA in the most inappropriate way – no worry – we all will!!!
"High Voltage Confessions" also comes out as a deluxe carton box edition with some fan goodies and a 10-track bonus disc revealing 2 extra unreleased songs plus 8 remixes by other artists revisiting JUNKSISTA's multicoloured universe like LAYZEE (former Rapper of the 90's Eurodance superstars Mr.President), vintage synth act and label mates METROLAND, MA PUBLIC THERAPY, EBM killers CRYO, IMAGINARY WAR, RESTRICTION 9, DEKAD and JUNKSISTA themselves…
ATTENTION !!! Beware JUNKSISTA hardcore fans and music collectors: everyone buying the ltd edition of this new album via the label or the band's own e-shop will have the unique chance to get a non-marketed physical copy of the "Live A Little" CD single for FREE featuring the exclusive non-album song "Time", a very catchy, minimalistic electro tune with beautiful vintage sounds and vocoders.
‘Honest Town’ is directed by Giorgio Testi and taken from Simple Minds forthcoming album 'BIG MUSIC' out on November 3rd. Big Music is the band’s first album in five years and they will embark on a major UK & European tour in 2015.

Everyone born between 1970 and 1980 has undergone a THE CURE brainwashing, voluntary or not, filled with genius songwriting pearls by Robert Smith & co. Whereas other bands that grew up alongside with them ended up with albums that no longer stand the test of fandom, THE CURE has been able to maintain an overall quality throughout the years, constantly offering unforgettable extended live shows made of nostalgic classic mixed with newer songs, and always reminding us that the unique "THE CURE magic" has remained intact!
Today the Alfa Matrix label roster is paying homage to this great and unique band: THE CURE, choosing classic radio hits but also songs that are less known to the public-at-large but which deserve even more to be heard again, showing that the songs written by Robert Smith and current/ex-members also lend themselves to different music style treatments...
All electronic music genres have their very own ambassadors on this 31-track double CD compilation from electro dance to pop rock through dark elektro and modern EBM. Compiled by and for THE CURE fans, "A Strange Play - a tribute to The Cure" will offer you astounding interpretations of classic hits like "A Forest" (MARI CHROME), "Just Like Heaven" (LOVELORN DOLLS), "Charlotte Sometimes" (KANT KINO), "Lullaby" (CYNICAL EXISTENCE), "The Walk" (STAR INDUSTRY), "The Lovecats" (JUNKSISTA), "Fascination Street" (ZOMBIE GIRL), "Lovesong" (SEBASTIAN KOMOR), "Close To Me" (METROLAND), "Pictures Of You" (DIFFUZION), "Why Can't I Be You" (PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE), etc. But some Alfa Matrix bands also dug deeper within THE CURE's huge discography and vast repertoire of songs, covering tracks like "In Your House" (ALIEN VAMPIRES), "Jumping Someone Else's Train" (KANT KINO), "Cold" (TOTEM OBSCURA), "The Drowning Man" (TECHNOIR), "A Strange Day" (AIBOFORCEN), Lament (MONDTRÄUME), "The Figurehead" (SCHWARTZBLUT), "A Night Like This" (XMH), "The Baby Screams" (ARMAGEDDON DILDOS), "Fight" (I:SCINTILLA), "Anniversary" (AESTHETISCHE), "Burn" (HELALYN FLOWERS & ESSENCE OF MIND), "Friday I'm In Love" (COSMIC ARMCHAIR), "Prayers For Rain" (HALO IN REVERSE & REGENERATOR), "Disintegration" (AVARICE IN AUDIO), "Trust" (ACYLUM), "All Cats Are Grey" (AIBOFORCEN), or yet "Sleep When I'm Dead" (NEIKKA RPM).
THE CURE was, is, and will continue to be a major influence and reference, conscious or not, for many underground artists and music lovers. We hope that together with us you will rediscover THE CURE in a way you didn't expect, cruising through their vast catalogue in different soundscapes but always remaining faithful to the band's darker sound.

William Shatner is considering a return to the "Star Trek" franchise after turning down director J.J. Abrams' advances to feature in the first of the filmmaker's new movies.
The original Captain Kirk has confirmed Abrams, who is a producer on the third film in the updated series, has reached out to him again, and this time Shatner is interested.
Speaking at the Nashville Comic Con in Tennessee, the actor said, "He (Abrams) said, 'I'm calling, Bill, because the director of the Star Trek movie, the next one, has had an idea where you might be involved in it. So I am calling to see if you would be interested'."
Shatner told fans he would be interested if the role is "meaningful," adding he would be "delighted" to be part of "Star Trek 3," which will be directed by Bob Orci.
