Cleveland based-alternative electronic duo She 1 · Him 2 have released their second single of 2022, "Stuck Inside".
The theme of the track involves getting stuck in thought patterns of negativity which drag us down and become habits. It also addresses the challenges of how to let go and break free.
She 1 - Him 2 features darkwave rocker and former Lestat front-man Evan Nave and Cassie Bishop of Shy Moon. The duo has once again teamed up with Grammy award winning producer Michael Seifert for the project.
The band is releasing tracks over time to fill out their first full EP in the age of the pandemic, and all music and videos have been filmed without either of the members seeing each other in person. Earlier this year they released a cover of David Bowie’s “Fame” featuring Steven Seibold (Hate Dept./Pigface). She 1 - Him 2 is currently working on a full four song EP slated for 2023.
"Stuck Inside" can be found on all electronic merchants and streaming services.
On this day, 32 years ago, MOEV released its fourth album, Head Down (8 August 1990). It was their last album released on Nettwerk Records and the last one featuring singer Dean Russell, who died in 1994 of complications due to AIDS. In an interview Dean Russell once explained what the name of the band meant, he stated that "Mauve - M.A.U.V.E is a pretty purplish pink, and Moev - M.O.E.V. is the colour of insanity". After Dean's passing the band took a 10 years break and returned in 2011 with a new studio album Ventilation. In 2014 they released their, up to today, latest album "One Minute World, albeit only in digital format.
The album features Sarah McLachlan on backing vocals on a few tracks.

Neo-Fanfare/Darkwave Band, Crooniek Reflects On The Concept Of Time With New Album
Darkwave/'Neo-Fanfare" Band, Crooniek has just unveiled their new full-length release, Trail Of Time. Thematically, this album reflects on the concept of time. In particular, the inspiration for Trail Of Time is the conflict between the known past and the unwritten future. The future remains hidden and we do not yet know it. But we do know the past.
This album is a nostalgic journey through the past of driving force Gerry Croon, his musical projects ('Parade of the 'Funeral Fanfare') and his relationship with his own birthplace Kampenhout, a small village in Belgium, known for his chicory cultivation.
After all, at a certain age, you realize that time is running out and, without realizing it and you ask yourself, "did I do it right ?" "Could I do better or would I do it differently now?" You realize that you have lost friends & acquaintances along the way, because your life path is going in a different direction.
Although this continues to gnaw, you have to accept this. While in the past, time seems to move slowly, humanity now appears to be driving the world into destruction in an express train.
Several partnerships and new inspiration have resulted in the album, Trail Of Time. It contains brand new songs together with new versions of older material. Neo-classical and neo-fanfare styles are combined with a whiff of gothic/ambient.
Trail Of Time is available on CD and digital formats NOW!

Post-Punk Artist Daniel Ouellette Brings Life To A Haunted House With New Album
Post-Punk artist Daniel Ouellette has just unveiled his new full-length LP, El Salon (A Happy Home Is A Haunted Home).
El Salon is a post-punk, synth-pop, new wave concept album that sings of the pleasures and difficulties of life within the setting of a haunted house. The album is also multi-lingual. Daniel will sing to you in Spanish about a werewolf, in English about a Ouija board, in Portuguese about a haunted house and in French about bats at Christmas time.
The title of the album, El Salón has multiple meanings. In Spanish it can reference a classroom, an art studio, a living room and of course, a salon. Daniel Ouellette says, "The best place I have learned to speak is in living rooms with loved ones who speak Spanish and this the title is in honor of my mates, my loved ones to whom I speak Spanish."
The album's subtitle pulls the concept of the album together. Should our protagonist buy a house that may be haunted? Each song tells a tale of joy or horror; what a home can be. Maybe some of us never want to leave our homes and others need to run. Or should we dance around our living room perhaps like a specter?
About the style and process of the album...
"The musical style that I wanted was a bit of a soft, warm synthpop approach. The first song comes in lyrically and musically right at you, but from there I was wanting to entice with softer tones and warmer singing than perhaps in some past recordings.
Almost of these songs were written by recording the percussion patterns and vocals and then adding the synth/keyboard parts after. This is a very back to haunted home for me because I had been working with musical instruments like strings, guitar, bass, accordion, etc. I wanted the beauty of simplicity."
- Daniel Ouellette

Included in the recording is an authentic recording of Pope Francis apologizing to nuns for abuse.
The release includes a remix by none other than Tom Shear of Assemblage 23.
