Comprised of cEvin Key, Ken 'hiwatt' Marshall & Traz Damji, Scaremeister is a dark and deeply haunting approach to the horror/thriller film genre. Consisting of 31 unique "mini-scores" of original sound design, the work is equally compelling as individual tracks or as an album. 31 Spirits is guaranteed to disturb.
"Scaremeister is a project and partnership with two of my best friends and long-term collaborators, cEvin Key and Traz Damji. We made a deal with Groove Addicts in 2007 (now Non-Stop Music/Warner Chappell), to compose a 'volume' of film trailer cues for horror movies. The following year we produced 31 cues that were very well received by the film community, being placed in many film trailers, including: Inglorious Bastards, Transformers II, My Bloody Valentine, Book of Eli and Halloween 2 (just to name a few). With the ongoing success of Volume One within the film industry, we decided to release these works to the public so they can be heard outside theaters! We sincerely hope you enjoy Scaremeister's debut album '31 Spirits'! -Ken 'hiwatt' Marshall

Blood Red Shoes announce b-side collaboration with Eoin from Drenge & Ian Clement
Blood Red Shoes have revealed a brand new track titled “Wretch” co-written and recorded with Eoin Loveless of Drenge and Ian Clement of Belgian outfit, Wallace Vanborn.
Loveless takes the lead vocal over a dark, Sabbath-esque riff complimenting the melodic chorus guitar lines from Laura-Mary Carter. This of course is backed up by the usual pounding drums from Steven Ansell from start to finish. A fierce result from the bands first collaboration since last year's AA side single with touring compatriots Pulled Apart By Horses. Listen here.
FONS Records is a small but rapidly growing player in the Belgian indie music scene. A record label with strong connections to one of Belgium's best kept secret in music history, the band FENCE. They released their eponymous album in 2012, to great response of the public and after the huge financial success which followed, they decided to invest all their time and money into vintage bass guitars. And in their record label FONS Records.
Enough crap, let's listen to the music. It's good. You should probably just check it out, you won't disagree, this is quality music. Poppy, yet heavy rocking and extremely danceable. Produced by Belgium's phattest producer, the great Micha Volders.
Later on this year, we will be releasing another bunch of records. If our planning skills don't fail us, that is.
The Prospects - Looking Good
The Shovels - Pop Secret
MINT - Glass Lagoon EP
Benny Zen & The Syphilis Madmen - Go Out And Love The People
JFJ - Electric Wood
and probably more later on...
With a predilection for polymaths and provocateurs, Address will focus on what's happening in downtown NYC, within the realms of both music and art, their mission being to give carte blanche to artists to make what they see without limitation.
The potty-mouthed poetry of Susanne Oberbeck's No Bra is first up. Blocky, beat-driven, messthetics-y no wave and dance, it's fueled by the burning desire to smash kyriarchy and turn gender on its head.
Speak-singing monotone mantras topless from behind waist-length hair, there's the bile-fueled love story of 'Date With The Devil', the wry observational wit of 'Super Subway Comedian' (Suicide cover) and the plainspoken Englishness of 'Minger' - "standing outside the supermarket at 6am trying to blag a fag off someone but no one will talk to you", just to name a few.
This is John Waters-style humour, all brashness and bad taste, and it's been visually nailed by cult filmmaker's Bruce LaBruce's poker-hot album cover.
Forming No Bra whilst living in East London, Oberbeck has since moved to New York, where she recorded part of the album with NYC based musicians. She runs a night in NYC called Gay Vinyl, toured the US with Savages and in December completed a residency at East London's Vogue Fabrics.
The Belgian composer Dirk Brossé conducts worldwide the most famous orchestras. Apart from that, this documentary by Jacques Servaes gives the viewer an insight in Dirk’s personal world. He avoids all glam. Dirk has become an introvert searcher who has paid a high price for his success.
