10, respectively 9 years from their first release, two long deleted Ataraxia releases will finally be available again in a new, improved Digipak edition, in completelly digitally re-mastered quality and with all new artwork.
One of them, ‘Des Paroles Blanches’, was a very limited EP sold out in no time. The inspiration for this mini album came both from the "The Canticle of Canticles" of King Solomon and the cycle of late-Mediaeval tapestries "La Dame à la Licorne". With ‘Mon Seul Désir’, after many albums based on pain, struggle, far lands and sunken civilisations Ataraxia finally released material based on love in all his power, unique love driven by destiny, the one that unifies elected souls and save our poor life when we are hopeless and deceived.
Listening to "Mon Seul Désir" you'll find a green path leading to an enchanted lake, it is a sort of purifying journey to get rid of our unhappy condition, you'll perceive the deep! connection among love and music, a dimension where everything is undefined and the passing among a dreamy state to a conscious one is prophetic and magic describable only through the poetry of notes.
Anyone up for a weird trip into the mind of Peter De Koning's Intens? Wondering what music the former member of Crossvaults, Hedera Helix and TraumaSutra is creating now? Then you have to go to music centre Kinkystar in Gent on the 23th of march. Dark rhythms, gloomy riffs, lyrics that matter and his hypnotising voice are just the thing for all those lovers of darkwave with an edge. When they played alongside Erato and Ikon last year they were like a breath of fresh air, with their combination of 90's electro (yelworC) and dutch poetry rock (Aroma di Amore). Afterwards you can search for coins on the wave and electro collection of dj bpuntart, the bassplayer of Intens...
And if you can't make it, check out their website because in may they will perform again in Sint-Niklaas, where they will also present their first album!
It's Valentine's day.
And the best topical item by far is this new video from No Tears.
We love you.
