NORMA LOY has always been one of France's best post-punk bands. Since 1982 they rivalled against the dominance of Great- Britain in this genre.
They may not have gained the attention and reward many other bands recieved, but that didn't stop them from becoming a cult band. The core of the band consists of singer Chelsea and keyboardist Usher. They founded the band in 1981. The shifts in line-up during Norma Loy's career were quite impressive, Chelsea and Usher choose not to work with a fixed number of musicians, but to let the line-up depend on the kind of album they wanted to make.
A great value to everyone interested in post-punk/80's goth-rock. Norma Loy was among the very best France offered in those genres. They dared to experiment, were passionate and never succumbed to any commercial vices.

Second Installment of Mortiis-Shock Filmaker Reinert Kiil Collaboration Now Available
The second installment in a trio of short films by Norwegian filmmaker Reinert Kiil set to music by Mortiis is now available.
Draugr, which features Mortiis' "Too Little Too Late" as its
soundtrack, continues the trilogy in Kiil's depravity-driven style. "Ethanol injected directly into veins, naked chicks with shotguns, split tongues and sword swallowing," Mortiis said. "What could possibly go wrong?"
The "shock film" director has gained notoriety as Norway's only Grindhouse filmmaker. Draugr has already caused national Norwegian media to all but ban the film short, due in part to its content, as well as Mortiis' past affiliation with early Norwegian Black Metal.
Mortiis' ninth album, The Great Deceiver, is available now via Omnipresence.
Check out both Mortiis-Kiil films, as well as videos for the tracks "Demons are Back," "Doppelganger" and "The Shining Lamp of God," all taken from The Great Deceiver.
