Beborn Beton's "A Worthy Compensation" was one of last year's highlights and a hell of a comeback for the band. It got heralded as a Synth Pop masterpiece and will be succeeded by the "She Cried EP" this summer. The group has not only maintained its high level of quality but will also offer some cool surprises.
Dependent Records announces the signing of This Morn' Omina and the release of their forthcoming album "Kundalini Rising" on Dependent. The collaboration between Mika Goedrijk and Karolus Lerocq, who joined the lineup in 2010 has often been hailed as the pioneers of the Tribal Industrial genre. However, the band itself rather labels its music as "Ritual Musik". We were specifically impressed by the concept and the scope of the new album in which the band has both developed and extended their scope of sound, yet made it deeper and a tad darker. We can promise an impressive album for old and new fans alike.
"This Morn' Omina had become full circle after the last release. Signing to Dependent means a new lease on musical life. A new aural direction had already been taken but now we also have the opportunity to share it with the audience in the way that we intended. Now finally everyone can come together and experience our new musical journey."
Astari Nite’s new album, Until the End of the Moon, evokes the early melodies of Manchester’s post punk sound. The LP, out today via Dance Macabre Records (Berlin) is the second full length to be released by the Miami band.
The songs included in Until the End of the Moon consolidate Astari Nite’s search for a sound that with deep vocals, dramatic bass lines and nostalgic guitars combines the depth of goth with the speed and flexibility of indie rock.
"I find Until the End of the Moon to be quite compelling. The maturity of the album resonates throughout and I personally feel that the listener will have a strong image of what in fact is being spoken upon," says lead singer Mychael Ghost.
The band kicked off their East Coast tour last week with a powerful show at Respectable Street in West Palm Beach, and will be performing tonight at Kill Your Idol, Miami. In support of the album Astari Nite will perform in New York City, Charlotte and Orlando among others.

America's best kept musical secret in the realm of dark, atmospheric Art Rock signs with Prophecy Productions
Dark, atmospheric art rock band 1476 has signed with Prophecy Productions (Empyrium, Alcest, Arcturus, Antimatter). A duo consisting of musicians Robb Kavjian and Neil DeRosa, 1476 creates monumental music that draws upon elements from many genres including metal, dark indie rock, neofolk and ambient. The band harbors an energy and mood that reflects the old, haunting landscapes of New England's coastal regions as well as the members' personal spiritual / philosophical interests and practices.
Imagine an unmistakably unique band, active for several years, while performing and self-releasing three majestic albums and two heady EPs, flying secretly under the radar of record labels, music media and the wider public at large. Not possible in these modern times of unfiltered music availability and the information superhighway, you say? Meet New England's 1476, America's best kept musical secret in the realm of dark, atmospheric Art Rock!
To celebrate, Prophecy will reissue 1476's 2012 release, "Wildwood", enhanced with the addition of the band's "The Nightside" EP, as well as the rest of the group's back catalog, including the 2010 EP "Smoke In The Sky" (enhanced with the recording of a 2010 live concert) and the soundtrack, "Edgar Allen Poe: A Life Of Hope & Despair", this July.
