Les Disques du Crepuscule presents an expanded edition of classic festive album Ghosts of Christmas Past, featuring favourites from the original 1981 and 1982 editions now joined by newer tracks by Crepuscule artists.
Sometimes witty, sometimes melancholic, the original version of Ghosts of Christmas Past in November 1981 featured exclusive contributions from luminaries such as Tuxedomoon, The Durutti Column, Paul Haig, Michael Nyman, Aztec Camera, Thick Pigeon and The Names. Subsequent editions in 1982 and 1986 added songs by Antena, Mikado, The French Impressionists, Pale Fountains and Winston Tong.
For this new double CD version in 2015 Crepuscule have now added more chantons noel by Blaine L. Reininger, Section 25, The Wake, Marsheaux, Deux Filles, Stanton Miranda, Virna Lindt, B Music and Ultramarine.
“Crepuscule's Christmas cracker is here to rescue the festive season from the fogies and bores"(Melody Maker); "Aztec Camera's Hot Club of Christ is a busy, Django-esque run through a few well-known Christmas ditties, Michael Nyman's Cream or Christians is a silly but loveable fragmented organ collage in a typical English eccentric tradition, Tuxedomoon are in playful Residential mood” (NME)
Cover art by Jean-Francois Octave. The remastered 2xCD is sleeved in a deluxe 6 panel digipack.

Fuzz Club Records are releasing the new LP of Radar Men From The Moon: Subversive I. The release date is this coming Saturday the 26th of September.
The record was anticipated by the premiere of “Hacienda”, defined an “eight-minute monster, most likely hypnotic enough to help you reach an ecstatic state” by Under The Radar Magazine.
It is the first of a triptych of albums from a band that has set itself to conduct sonic experiments transcending the boundaries of any genre they explored so far (from Shoegaze to Psychedelia, from New Wave to Krautrock).
Arguably one of the best experimental live acts of the Psych scene - having shared stage with the likes of Wooden Shjips, Suuns and Hookworms, as well as curating the line-up of Eindhoven Psych Lab - they keep their mission of deconstructing their own musical patterns in a way that is much closer to artists like Can and Tangerine Dream, rather than most of their veteran scene acolytes.
Memphis band NOTS, have announced details of the UK release of their debut album, We Are Nots, on Heavenly Recordings on Friday 20th November 2015.
The album is licensed from legendary Memphis rock ‘n’ roll label Goner, sometime home of, among others, such garage punk heroes as Reigning Sound, The Oblivians, Jay Reatard and Ex Cult.
Formed just over three years ago, NOTS recorded the album in the summer of 2014 with Doug Easley (Sonic Youth, Tav Falco’s Panther Burns, White Stripes, Townes Van Zandt, Guided By Voices) at his studio in their Tennessee hometown.
Clocking in at an urgent 27 minutes, the track listing of this raucous and primitive 11-track album, which recalls some of the most thrilling and visceral lo-fi post-punk of the last few decades - The Cramps, Bikini Kill, The Fall, The Make Up, The Mummies, Kleenex, Teenage Jesus and The Jerks - is as follows:
1. Insect Eyes
2. Decadence
3. Reactor
4. Strange Rage
5. Get Along
6. Black Mold
7. Static
8. Monochromatic
9. White Noise
10. Televangelist
11. Talk Show
The album will be released with different colour artwork to the Goner edition and will also include a bonus 7” featuring two non-album tracks, Virgin Mary and Shelf Life.
Additionally, Heavenly will also release a 7” of the album track Reactor b/w a previously unreleased demo of album track Televangelist, on 6th November.
Having played regularly around Memphis over the last few years, and more recently nationwide in the US with the likes of the Black Lips and Flamin’ Groovies, NOTS have gained much acclaim for their powerful, furious and incendiary live sets. They play their first shows in Europe in November.
The dates of the short tour, which include three dates in the UK, are as follows:
NOVEMBER
21st Utrecht Le Guess Who Festival
22nd Groningen Vera
23rd Antwerp Het Bos
24th Nottingham Chameleon Café
25th Manchester
26th London Heavenly 25 @ The Garage
27th Luxembourg Rotondes Club
28th Paris BB Mix Festival
NOTS are: Natalie Hoffman (guitar / vocals), Charlotte Watson (drums), Madison Farmer (bass) & Alexandra Eastburn (synthesizer).
For its 4th edition, COALESCAREMONIUM: Brussels Gothic Happening will become a true music festival, with 4 bands and 4 solo projects playing over 2 stages. There will be unseen performances starting every hour alternating between the concert room and the chapel: two high-contrasting atmospheres, one captivating and energetic; the other serene and intimate.
Half of the artists for the 2016 edition have already been announced and the others are soon to follow! The concert room will feature the theatrical Hedera Helix with a special show to mark the release of their long awaited new album and British goth rock band Pretentious, Moi? who are making their first Belgian appearance on our date of April 2nd.
The first revelation to play in the chapel is Belgian superduo KnK, who are bringing us the live debut of their "Dead Body Music". The other is the solo project of Max Lilja, renowned Finish cellist known for his work with Apocalyptica, Hevein, and Tarja, in his electro based solo set that is full of dark influences and upbeat dancing rhytms.
The theme of this year's Coalescaremonium titles "Art Nouveau Noise": a wildly imaginative combination of music and visual styles leaving the unrevealed half of the bands to fill the gaps. Of course there are also still the dance, fashion and art shows that create the setting you are used from us to make a spectacular day festival now lasting from 15h to 3 AM.
