Pakkend drama over een vader die zijn kinderen ontvoert om hen te beschermen tegen de moderne consumptiemaatschappij, met een zeer geloofwaardige Mathieu Kassovitz in de hoofdrol.
Paco en Nora willen buiten de consumptiemaatschappij leven. Maar wanneer Nora genoeg heeft van hun excentrieke levensstijl én volledige voogdij toegewezen krijgt, neemt Paco een drastische beslissing. Hij slaat alle afspraken in de wind en beslist zijn zonen voortaan zelf op te voeden, in een commune, één met de natuur. Gedurende 11 jaar werden ze gezocht door hun moeder en de politie. Ze beleefden niet allee de angsten en gevaren van het vrije leven maar ook de de hechte vriendschappen en de geneugten ervan.

Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One, Guilt Machine) & Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering, Devin Townsend Project) are set to release the debut album The Diary from their new band The Gentle Storm on March 23, and following the release of the track ‘Endless Sea’, they are pleased to launch the video for the track ‘Heart of Amsterdam’
Anneke had this to say: “Heart Of Amsterdam is a tribute to the city of Amsterdam, the home town of the story’s leading character Susanne. Seventeenth-century Amsterdam was a centre of shipping, shipbuilding, and trade. Amsterdam flourished, and a wonderful city was the result. We shot the video in the centre of Amsterdam. It was freezing cold and I couldn’t move my fingers anymore during the last shots, but it was all worth it. I love how the video turned out!”

De Franse steracteur Guillaume Canet levert een stevige acteerprestatie in deze opzienbarende psycho-thriller, gebaseerd op het waargebeurde verhaal van Alain Lamare, de “tueur de l’Oise”.
In 1978 en 1979 werden de inwoners van het Franse departement van de Oise opgeschrikt door een reeks moorden die angst en terreur zaaide over heel de streek. De maniak in kwestie had het telkens gemunt op jonge vrouwen, geheel willekeurig gekozen. De dader is overal en nergens, ontsnapt met gemak aan de klauwen van de rechercheurs en ontloopt alle wegcontroles. Niet zo vreemd aangezien de moordenaar in realiteit een jonge, timide gendarme is met een smetteloos blazoen en een schijnbaar doodsaai privéleven.
