CHROM always had that certain something that would elevate them from the mass of Future- and Synth-Pop-groups … a perfect hand for gripping melodies, a powerful voice and original electronic sounds with a lot of drive. On the highly anticipated third album “Peak And Decay”, CHROM are expertly evolving this trademark style, while delivering their most versatile release to date. Alongside the tried and tested club-smashers in the vein of the advance single “Regret & Testify”, hit-tunes which CHROM often tend to spice up with a refreshingly harsh edge, they have also thrown new-wavey mid-tempo tunes like the groovy “Heavenly” or heartfelt ballads like the stirring “Farewell Letter” into the mix, this time around. The undead templars of Heimataerde return with a catchy mix of Electro, medieval music and Neue Deutsche Härte on their new single “Hick Hack Hackebeil“ - a smashing harbinger for the epic new album “Aerdenbrand.“

The henchman grinds his axe, the delinquent readies himself for his final breath. Wrapped in a garb of bauble and taffeta, the beat dances to an intriguing nursery rhyme that feels like the nightmare of a sleepless night, while the melodie “Hick Hack Hackbeil” grinds into the subconscious with pompous choirs. With a fusion of anthem and horror movie, Heimataerde yet again indulge in their unconventional and non-conformist approach to port long gone musical traditions into the here and now. Next to the hit-laden title track which is on the single in three versions, the band is providing catchy club-compatible interpretations of medieval songs with the Jewish “Tsur Mishelo” and the old pilgrim-tune “Stella Splendens.” “Hick Hack Hackebeil” is released as a hand-numbered Digipak MCD, limited to 666 copies. So, shoulder that axe for the last, great dance before the “Aerdenbrand.”

Belgian band The Juggernauts is the most important rejuvenators of the classic Electronic Body Music sound. The debut album “The Juggernauts Are Coming” features club-compatible tunes built on a minimalist foundation of beats, sequencer and shouts.

Like the name-inspiring symbol for an unstoppable destructive force, the music of The Juggernauts blasts out of the speakers like an energetic stronghold of beats, bass and wrath. Few contemporary bands manage to channel the spirit of early EBM as brutally effective as the Belgian duo on its debut “The Juggernauts Are Coming.” Thudding drum machines and rumbling low frequencies accompany front man Borg while he shouts all the anger, cynicism and social criticism out of his system. While The Juggernauts share the spirit of bands like the early Front 242 or Nitzer Ebb, they never fall into the retro-trap, providing the prime father of underground dance music with a refreshingly harsh and modern approach. Experimental pop band Aquaserge has been a subterranean driving force in the international music scene for the last few years, inspiring and influencing countless musicians. Formed in south-western France, the band has moved around, some of its members also becoming part of Tame Impala, Stereolab and Melody's Echo Chamber, as well as working with Japanese band Acid Mothers Temple.

Aquaserge's resolutely polymorphous music draws from sources as diverse as original psych pop, free jazz, noise, vintage French film music, pataphysics, and the most adventurous side of '60s/'70s rock (say, from kraut to Canterbury to cult Gallic bands such as ZNR). All absorbed and playfully transmuted to create their own unique, cinematic sound. Their tracks include instrumental excursions, intriguing harmonies, and pristine pop songs, always ready to joyfully burst at the seams.

Freshly signed to Crammed Discs, the band is about to release the Guerre EP in September ("War EP", which also reads phonetically as "War and Peace" in French), while their new album will come out in early 2017.

There’s nothing that can stop Bill Leeb. He just finished an intense European tour with Front Line Assembly, and now he announces that a new album by his side project Delerium will see the light on 23rd September. Mythologie will be released on Metropolis as a regular CD and double vinyl.
