With the conclusion of other remaining projects and collaborations, there’s no focus other than dirk serries’ongoing exploration of minimalism. four years in the making and undoubtly fuelled by his 2009 debut and previous mainstays vidnaObmana and fear falls burning, this second microphonics studio album is a heartbreaking symphony of echoing themes, wailing overtones and beautiful desolation. microphonics xxi-xxv, subtitled ‘mounting among the waves, there’s a light in vein. the burden of hope across thousands of rivers’ does hint towards an emotional statement, one that boldly goes beyond what previously achieved.
microphonics xxi-xxv will be out on march 16, as a limited edition double 10inch in a numbered gatefold sleeve (150 copies on white vinyl, 300 copies on black vinyl), complete with a cd copy of the album, and a cd in a deluxe mini album gatefold sleeve.
A previously announced book edition has been cancelled for productional reasons.

On September 25th 2012 Monolathe Recordings released The Foreign Resort's current LP "Scattered & Buried" in the USA on CD as well as worldwide as a download. From February 2nd 2013 on, the CD and a bit delayed the vinyl will be available via afmusic (TS-Musix).
"Scattered & Buried" is a collection of remakes, remixes and new songs, that shows the sound in the stress field of New Wave, Shoegaze and Post rock consequently and stands in the tradition of bands such as The Cure, Joy Division and Editors. Already with the opener "Delayed" it gets clearly, with which implication The Foreign Resort move their way, followed by the epic song "Stop killing me, we should never be apart". "Lost My Way(2012)", originally released on the "Offshore"-release, breaks the Wavepop of the band's early days completely and heaves the song to a complete new level.
And no release of the Danes would be complete without one song, in which you can lose yourself. "We're gonna drown before we give in" is the dominating topic behind "Tide". The release gets supplemented by remixes from Novachild, Sway and Evol, who picked the fans' favourite songs and packed them into a complete new atmosphere. "Scattered & Buried" is an important step for The Foreign Resort and shows clearly, what to expect in the future of this band, that already toured the USA successfully twice. For whom the band was an unwritten piece of paper, will find the perfect introduction with "Scattered & Buried".
MYRNINEREST was formed in 2012 by David Tibet as a new Sphere for him and his friends and family to work within. David founded Current 93 - remember their mesmerizing two concerts in 2011 at the Open Circuit Pand 'Koloniale Waren' - in 1984 and has since worked with such idiosyncratic artists as Nurse With Wound, Nick Cave, Shirley Collins, Tiny Tim, Anthony, Bill Fay, Nick Blinko and Baby Dee. Also a publisher and artist, he recently had an exhibition of his paintings, Magog at the Maypole (Sex of Stars) at NYC's prestigious White Columns gallery.
MYRNINEREST's debut album "Jhonn", Uttered Babylon is a hallucinatory and harrowing work about the life and death of Coil's Jhonn Balance as seen through the eyes of his close friend and colleague David Tibet. With all music on the album composed and played by James Blackshaw, Tibet and Blackshaw are joined onstage by Current 93's violinist Aloma Ruiz Boada, Andrew Liles (electronics), and Reinier van Houdt (piano/organ).
As MYRNINEREST perform, a specially commissioned new film by Davide Pepe about Jhonn Balance - using archival material from David Tibet's own collection and photographs supplied by Jhonn's father - is projected behind them.
The ensemble made its debut performance at Antony's Meltdown Festival in London in August 2012. After Berlin and Lucern they will introduce Myrninerest "Jhonn", Uttered Babylon for the first time live in Belgium at kunstencentrum BELGIE (Hasselt) on March 23rd 2013.
