Pre-YES psychedelic-prog outfit Mabel Greer’s Toyshop have released new footage for Electric Funeral, the opening track of their upcoming reunion album "New Way Of Life" out on 9th March.
The video shows founding members Clive Bayley and Robert Hagger as they meet for rehearsal, two old friends finding each other again after 45 years, with the same chemistry and some terrific new songs. Smiles all around speak louder than words about the spirit of this reunion as they meet to jam in a bar in Nice, France.
Joined by Billy Sherwood, Hugo Barré and Tony Kaye, Clive and Bob have recently reformed Mabel Greer’s Toyshop – the 60s prog psychedelic outfit which sprouted the first shoot of YES – and created a record that brings new life into their trademark sound, aiming not only to rekindle their love affair with the old YES fans, but also to conquer a completely new breed of listeners.
The footage ends with a large amount of empty pints covering the bar; a good time was had by all and many more are still to come. This is just the beginning!
New Way Of Life will be available on CD and digital download from 9th March 2015. Electric Funeral will be available to download and on iTunes as an instant gratification track on album pre-orders from the beginning of February.

Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese has passed away at the age of 70 due to the effects of pulmonary embolism.
One of the pioneering figures of the electro music realm and the band's only constant member throughout its 48-year history, Froese has released over 100 records with Tangerine Dream alone, making him one of the most prolific artists of all time.
The official announcement reads: "This is a message to you we are very sorry for… On January 20th, Tuesday afternoon, Edgar Froese suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from the effects of a pulmonary embolism in Vienna.
"The sadness in our hearts is immensely. Edgar once said: 'There is no death, there is just a change of our cosmic address.' Edgar, this is a little comfort to us."
Born in East Prussia on D-Day (June 6, 1944), Froese began his musical journey at the age of 12. He founded Tangerine Dream in 1967 and rose to international fame during the '70s. Some of his other ventures include solo albums, film scores ad video game music, most notably for 2013's "Grand Theft Auto V."

The Washington DC-based band Retrogramme possess the rare ability to surprise us. Always. Whenever they unleash their creativity we have to wait for a result far above our expectations. The antecedent album "For Our Dearly Departed" of 2012 is still considerated as an object of cult, but the new double full-length "Feed" promises to go further. The band's style is a unique, multiform and sophisticated blend of synthpop, IDM, and darkwave, created through asymmetrical or linear rhythms, alienating consonances and sound abstractions that make Retrogramme one of the most important institutions of their music genre.
The new title track enumerates twenty-four songs divided into two separate volumes: each of them is hyper saturated with original sonorities that will drag you into a vortex of dance. The elements to solicit your interest are all there: pulsing bass-lines of drum-programming, robotic or lithe musicality, fascinating and amazing vocalizations. Moreover, the second disk includes exclusively a fantastic series of remixes elaborated by Halo Effect, Framework, DrMOllE, Citizen 16, Bites, Echoknocks, PDR, Poject K-11, Deadliner, Atropine, TourdeForce and Red This Ever. We welcome with true excitement the new Retrogramme and their "Feed", an album that we can define by only one, specific adjective: great.
