Biomechanimal Brings The Destruction Of Innocence To An Epic New Single & Video
Industrial metal band Biomechanimal has just unleashed their epic new single & video "From The Mouths Of Beasts". The song is a celebration of all music that became part of Biomechanimal’s influence: hard beats, epic orchestras and a complete lack of reliance on genre boundaries.
"From The Mouths Of Beasts" is a take on the phrase ‘from the mouths of babes’, a concept in which children have a way of telling magnificent truths in their innocence. "From the mouths of beasts" is the reverse of this.
We are surrounded by people, especially in the music industry, who use and use people, taking what they want from others, spouting whatever they like to get what they want. These people are incapable of truth and innocence. This is a song about them. Lines like ‘devolve to entropy’, ‘burn up my wings’, describe the effect these people have on others.
Recorded at Monolith Studio, "From the Mouth of Beasts" is the focal point of the band's efforts to reimagine themselves into something heavier, more ferocious and dramatic. Says Matt Simpson: "We wanted to commit to being as authentic as possible, with all our new material using studio drums (a first for the band)". "From The Mouths Of Beasts" is a far cry from Biomechanimal's industrial and EBM beginnings.

Darkwave Band Peter Jennings Disciples Brings Dreams And Nightmares To New EP, 'Bad News'
Darkwave Band Peter Jennings Disciples return with their sophomore EP Bad News.
Bad News explores dreams and nightmares, forgiveness and damnation. Through dark electronic and industrial rock themes - wailing bagpipes and fragile synths on the likes of "Not Enough Bridge" contrasted with pounding beats and heavy guitars on "Wild Girl (Slug Mix)" - the band further develops their self-described "alternadustrial" sound.
Bad News is available NOW in a limited cassette edition and on all major streaming/digital download platforms.
Electro-industrial band KRATE is back and once again teams up with a number of incredible talents on their fourth endeavor, It's The Hope That Kills You.
The general theme of this release is hopelessness. No matter how hard you try, in the end nothing else matters as all matter is destined to die. Your prayers will be lost while you watch the horizon sink. There is no one to blame but us. We reach for the needle and ask ourselves one last time, "Where do we go from here?" Absolutely nowhere.
Songs like the hard-hitting title track featuring Anatoly Grinberg (Dead Voices On Air) & drummer Dan Milligan (The Joy Thieves). Other tracks feature members of Bow Ever Down, Slighter, Liquid Black Goo and Numbered Men.
Five tracks of electro-industrial spanning the full spectrum of what this subgenre encompasses; from nightmarish beat-driven to heavy orchestral/industrial. The Hope That Kills You is available now on all digital platforms including Bandcamp.
Darkwave project, Distance H addresses broken promises with new single, 'Waters Of Woe'
Darkwave project, Distance H has dropped their new single & video featuring Marita Volodina, "Waters Of Woe".
"Waters Of Woe" addresses the necessity to overcome the pain and anguish of broken promises, by others or by oneself, making the promised lands inaccessible. It's the saving distance to escape collapse when the time comes for resignation and abandonment. It's also the distance to be taken with our ghosts, (past or present), which haunt the mind and the memory.
To free yourself from the stigmata of the past, to emancipate the psyche into the present. That is "Waters Of Woe".
Parisian producer/artist, ManuH once again invites a feature singer, Marita Volodina, for the new single.
"Waters Of Woe" is available on all digital platforms including Bandcamp.
Post-Shoegaze WÜK aims straight at the heart with their brand new single 'Hit By Frailty'!
No beaten paths for the Ghent foursome of WÜK, who know how to distinguish themselves from the gray masses by carefully avoiding all genre clichés. With their second release 'Hit By Frailty', three years after their self-titled debut, they bring in the tradition of atmospheric guitar-driven post-rock (think Tortoise, Slint, Slowdive) a musical landscape of meandering songs with a swirling rapids here and there.
HIT BY FRAILTY
The new album has human (mental) vulnerability as the common thread. Skin hunger, giving up our privacy, escapism and susceptibility to all kinds of addictions are inspiration for the new songs. Nevertheless, this results in cheerful sounds and atmospheres, an intimate 'mind-travel' full of surprising twists and a healthy dose of humour.
DO IT YOURSELF ATTITUDE!
Recorded integrally and live in their own rehearsal room 'Parallel World', between May 2020 and March 2021, the songs then went to the mixing desk of Gert Keunen (Briskey), who also took care of the post-production and mastering. A first off for Gert Keunen, who previously only did this for his own music and found this project a great opportunity to fine tune his studio.
The album 'Hit By Frailty' is released independently. Also all artwork comes from WÜK's own ranks.
UNDERGROUND?
Hard to pigeonhole, WÜK thrives in the shadow of instrumental jazz based bands such as Dans Dans, Nordmann or Stuff. Solid live acts that manage to capture the energy of the stage on record.
They also get spicy mustard from the primal post-rock of Tortoise, Slint, King Crimson and even Pink Floyd. In the WÜK world there are also albums by Do Make Say Think, God is an Astronaut, Mogwai and the Belgian big brothers Tomàn and Manngold.
Averse to the commercial mainstream, logarithms and pitchers, WÜK knows how to charm a growing crowd of fans and followers with a solid live set.
‘HIT BY FRAILTY’
‘DO IT YOURSELF’-ATTITUDE!
