NEWS New Suicide Commando release - 'Forest Of The Impaled'

New Suicide Commando release - 'Forest Of The Impaled'

26th of June 2017, 13:40

Belgian Hard-Electro-pioneers Suicide Commando return with their darkest and most intense effort to date. „Forest Of The Impaled“ will be released as a regular album CD, deluxe double disc, 2LP+CD and as a limited 4CD-fan-set.
On his new album, Suicide-Commando-mastermind Johan van Roy takes us to the darkest part of the human psyche and allows us to partake in the struggle with the demons that have been plagueing him all his life. Instead of trying to up the ante on BPM-counts or revelling in cheap provocation, Suicide Commando go for maximum intensity on „Forest Of The Impaled“, creating a dark beast of an album that aims directly for the gut. A juggernaut of beats, bass, sinister soundscapes and raging shouts, the album whole-heartedly embraces the band's past, yet adds multi-faceted layers and a sense of urgency and maturity that elevates it far beyond genre standards. Hard, relentless and often very personal, Suicide Commando keep the Hard-Electro-genre alive and kicking with one of their finest efforts to date. „Forest Of The Impaled“ is also available on 180g double vinyl + CD in a lavish gatefold sleeve, as a deluxe double CD version (including an exclusive remix album) in Digipak and as a limited 4CD fan box, including the double CD, plus an exclusive tribute album (other bands providing their own interpretation of some of Suicide Commando's finest songs) and the exclusive MCD “The Devil.” Prepare to enter a world of pain... the pain that you like!

Swedish acts ELM and ALVAR complete BIMFEST 2017 line-up!

23rd of June 2017, 17:18

Coincidence or not but besides the fact all six Dark Demons candidates gave a powerful and energetic performance, the Dark Demons Night audience chose both Swedish acts to open BIMFEST 2017!

The first BIMFEST opener will be ELM, the Brussels based Swedish no-compromise-straight-forward E.B.M. project of Peter Elm. His music fitting neatly in between the likes of the UK E.B.M. godfathers Nitzer Ebb and those other (Swedish) hard core hooligans Spetsnaz.

The second band to open BIMFEST will be the Swedish Electro Industrial act ALVAR who, besides some tape releases, released their debut album 'Guilt Kollektion' on Daft Records last year. Their music is a mixture of the old school Cold Meat Industry label sound, techno and E.B.M.

Laibach receive the lifetime achievement Golden Whistle award

22nd of June 2017, 17:18

After they announced the release of their upcoming new full length album "Also Sprach Zarathustra " some weeks ago, Laibach have now also received a lifetime achievement award called the 'Golden Whistle'. The Golden Whistle (Zlata piščal) award is a Slovenian professional music prize awarded by the Cultural and Arts Society 'Golden Whistle' for achievements in the field of Slovenian popular music. The award is given at the annual ceremony, which also includes performances by various musical artists. It is the only Slovenian Awards dedicated to performers and creators of music. The name of the prize "Golden Whistle" was inspired by an ancient whistle, found in 1995 in the Palaeolithic cave Divje babe (Wild women), which dates back to around 60,000 BC. It belonged to the Neanderthal living on the territorry of the present-day Slovenia and is the oldest musical instrument in the world ever found.

NEW SIGNING AND NEW SINGLE/VIDEO - THEN COMES SILENCE - THE DEAD CRY FOR NO ONE

21st of June 2017, 17:17

THEN COMES SILENCE are very thrilled to announce their signing with NUCLEAR BLAST!

The fourth album titled 'BLOOD' is due to come in the autumn. The first single 'The Dead Cry For No One' is out now.

Post punk is dead. But before everyone throws away their JOY DIVISION tote bag, one thing needs to be said: Post punk HAS TO BE dead! Post punk wasn’t created to be alive or to represent vitality. Post punk was, is and stays a view into the void, an echo of a broken world which couldn’t be the same anymore tomorrow. Back in the 80s, maimed crossover artists such as Curtis, Coleman and Smith transformed the atmosphere of an unsure morning into sound and did what THEN COMES SILENCE do nowadays.

The world isn’t in a better condition than in the 80s. Back then, the sabre-rattling monster next to the red button was named Reagan. Today its name is Trump and it tweets about his nuclear desire all over the digital highway, the world builds walls and ducks and stops to breathe. This shattering inhaling, this quiet before the storm is like a post punk nucleus how it was back in the 80s and how it is today - apocalyptically current.

Movies such as »A Clockwork Orange«, graphic novels, classical music and paintings of the old masters give the Swedes a source of never-ending inspiration. He founded THEN COMES SILENCE in 2012 and released the self-titled debut album in the same year yet.

NEWS NATIONAL CRIME HISTORY - A Belgian Industrial Music compilation

NATIONAL CRIME HISTORY - A Belgian Industrial Music compilation

20th of June 2017, 17:15

NATIONAL CRIME HISTORY

“Belgium is a swamp, a boggy yet fertile ground in which new emergences are never clearly shaped but subtle, drifting just below the land’s muddy surface. They often remain hidden in the midst of a complex ensemble that is often made of chaos and opposition rather than order and harmony.” (Yannick Franck)
From the North to the South of Belgium, a new generation of artists are connecting the dots between classic Belgian Industrial/EBM and the contemporary electronic scenes that have emerged worldwide these last years. A ‘New Belgian Industrialist Movement’ that freely combines elements such as distorted atmospheres, analog pulsations or mantric rhythms, lingering in the grey area between experimental techno and post-industrial music.
National Crime History is a compilation featuring Icon Template, Ripit, Onrust and Orphan Swords. It's curated by Belgian labels Silken Tofu and Idiosyncratics, both known for crossing borders and disregarding genre limitations. The fact that these entities are now joining forces should come as no surprise. They have a long history together on many levels and now emerge as a collective that has been taking shape over the years.

Tracklist:
1. Onrust - Hesse (ST Edit)
2. Onrust - Saramago
3. Icon Template - Larme Acérée
4. Icon Template - Republic Of Terror
5. Orphan Swords - Phenex
6. Orphan Swords - Vual
7. Ripit - Live At MS Stubnitz (8th April 2016) 13:06
