Wire was founded in the seventies , navigating between punk , post-rock and experimental music. The current Britpop scene owes much to the legendary , atmospheric songs from this trio.

Simple Minds are at their most impressive in recent years. Jim Kerr and his band are in top form.The latter album gives a wonderful overview of the impressive thirty-five year career of one of the greatest British rock groups of all time. From"Promised You A Miracle" to "Glittering Prize", "Waterfront", "Sanctify Yourself", "Belfast Child", "Mandela Day" and of course “Do not You (Forget About Me) " and 'Alive & Kicking'.
The release of their brand new LP 'Big Music' is the best proof that they still have a future. First single "Honest Town" was written with Iain Cook Chvrches and is an emotional song in memory of Jim Kerr's mother, who died four years ago in Glasgow.
ON 14 NOVEMBER they are in Forest National, and a day later (15 November) at the Lotto Arena.

Een straffe terugkeer voor het Schotse vijftal, zoniet één van de allerstrafste van de laatste jaren. Jim Kerr en zijn band zijn in bloedvorm en dat heeft zich de afgelopen jaren zowel op het podium geuit, met enkele vijfsterrenconcerten (Koninklijk Circus, Vorst, Lotto Arena, Rock Werchter, TW Classic), als op hun platen, ‘5x5’ en natuurlijk ook ‘Celebrate – The Greatest Hits + Collection’. Dit laatste album geeft een prachtig overzicht van de indrukwekkende vijfendertigjarige carrière van één van de sterkste Britse rockgroepen allertijden. Van “Promised You A Miracle” tot “Glittering Prize”, over “Waterfront”, “Sanctify Yourself”, “Belfast Child”, “Mandela Day” en natuurlijk ook de de allergrootste brokkenmakers “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” en “Alive & Kicking”.

Maar Simple Minds hoeft niet uitsluitend te teren op de ongelooflijke discografie uit het verleden, ze hebben ook nog een hele toekomst voor zich en zijn zeker niet van plan stil te zitten. De release van hun gloednieuwe langspeler ‘Big Music’ is daar het beste bewijs van. Dave Wyndorf and his henchmen seemingly had the time of their lives when they completely rearranged and boosted Last Patrol 2014 and christened it Milking the Stars: A Re-imagining of Last Patrol!
Now MONSTER MAGNET go back even further to 2010 and their Mastermind album. Even if you know the album inside and out you won`t be prepared in the slightest for the trip that is Cobras and Fire (The Mastermind Redux): just think of the beast Apocalypse Now turned into in its Redux form. Familiar elements drift by and are swallowed whole by thundering psych orgies – Wyndorf often focuses on a singular song fragment and turns it into his ride to total Nirvana. Go look for your daily dose of average rock elsewhere: this is the mindfuck of the year!
‘Watch Me Fade’ features one of my favorite musical combinations: heavy, old school organ and fuzz guitar. When I hear that sound I want to sing like some mad preacher. The lyrics started out as a love song but wound up being a paranoid rant about living in the 21st century. I'm sure somebody out there can relate. And... it's only 3 minutes and 6 seconds which has to be some kind of record for MONSTER MAGNET. Rock on,” says Wyndorf of the track.
Napalm Records is proud to announce the signing of PHANTASMA, the new Symphonic Rock musical of Charlotte Wessels (DELAIN), Georg Neuhauser (SERENITY) and Oliver Philipps (EVERON).
PHANTASMA was born from the longstanding ambition to create a story driven concept record of Georg Neuhauser, vocal force behind Tyrolean Symphonic Metal outfit Serenity. He found his partner in crime with multi-instrumentalist composer, producer and vocalist Oliver Philipps (Everon) who gladly embarked on this new mission that allowed him to reconnect with being a musician in the first place, as a welcome change from working for other bands, which he has done extensively over the years, providing the rich sound connoisseurs of the genre have come to expect from him. As Oliver worked with DELAIN since their debuting record, a request at Charlotte Wessels’ address was made to complete the dynamic trio of PHANTASMA. To introduce Charlotte Wessels to any connoisseur of Symphonic metal would be like carrying coals to Newcastle - she is, after all, since 2005 the vocal figurehead of Dutch grandees DELAIN. It is therefore not only surprising, but also gratifying that Charlotte now even found some leisure time, to lend not only her voice to PHANTASMA but also her debut novella “The Deviant Hearts” - which was written especially for the project.

With PHANTASMA Charlotte can let her beautiful and variable voice run free like the wind - sometimes tender like on “Runaway Grey”, plaintive on “Let It Die”, and the duet “The Lotus And The Willow” - makes Charlotte’s passion for Nick Cave abundantly clear, matching even the intensity of “Where The Wild Roses Grow”. Meanwhile Georg’s dedication for classic rock acts like Queen and Meatloaf shine through in tracks like “Crimson Course” and “Novaturient”. Giving a face to several characters in the story are noted guest vocalists Tom Englund (Evergrey), who performs on tracks such as “Enter Dreamscape” and “The Deviant Hearts”. Cloe Lowery (Transsiberian Orchestra) shines on the heart-wrenching ballad “Try” alongside Dennis Schunke (Van Canto) who can be heard also on “Carry Me Home”. Georg, Oliver, and Charlotte themselves finish the vocal palette while the sound is completed by Jason Gianni (Daredevil Squadron/ Neal Morse Band/ Transsiberian Orchestra) on drums, Randy George (Neal Morse Band/Ajalon) on bass and Tom Buchberger (ex-Serenity) guesting two songs on guitar. Milan-based artist Marco Mazzoni provides the haunting cover art and illustrations to the story, creating an eerie visual world with his elaborate style.
