As part of A Different Drum's VIP series, Northern Kind will release a special version of their debut album '53° North' in October. Not just a plain rerelease, but the album will feature an unreleased track + unreleased remixes of the songs 'Crash' and 'On And On'. With the brandnew 'Daggers', we even get a further glimpse into the material of the upcoming album 'Credible Sexy Unit'.
While doing the interview with Peek-A-Boo, Section 25 were busy putting the finishing touches to their new 'Invicta' EP, which will be released as digital EP on Hacienda Records. If you buy it directly from them, the releasedate is the 3rd October, 2011 - other online retailers have 'Invicta' ready on 17th October, 2011.

UPDATE 05th October: Although we have no confirmation yet, but all releases have been removed from Edsel's homepage + there is no new information if those releases will come out - at least for now they are sadly cancelled.

It may be in french, but nonetheless you can see a very interesting documentary about the 80's on ARTE the next few weeks. Tonight (sorry it is at such short notice) you can see the first episode again at 3.35 at night. It was aired last week so here is your last chance to see it! The first episode talks about the start of new wave at the end of the 70's, when artists in the UK, US and Europe started a new movement in music with the DIY principle of punk. Next week is all about synthpop and new romantics... The episode of 29th september covers some more extreme bands (Front 242, Cabaret Voltaire, Bauhaus and Joy Division to name but a few) and genres like gothic and industrial.
