Yann Tiersen announces details of a brand new album, Skyline, out in autumn 2011, plus a series of dates, his first since the sold out UK, European and US dates that accompanied Dust Lane. The UK dates include a headline show at London’s Roundhouse, Latitude festival in July and Jeff Mangum’s ATP in December.
Skyline is Yann Tiersen’s seventh studio album, and sees Tiersen taking a confident step forward, cementing the sound of its darker sister, the critically acclaimed Dust Lane, which was released almost exactly 12 months previously.
Monuments, the first single release from Skyline, shows Tiersen and his band own the world he now inhabits, a world of vintage synths, electric guitars, all unpinned by his incredible songwriting and musicianship. It’s a marked contrast to the Tiersen that people imagine they know, but it’s a world that he would argue he’s been in all along - it’s only now everyone else is catching up.
In Monuments a lyrical repetition muses our place in the world and the traces of ourselves we leave behind – "all monuments of men, they’re sinking in vain". And yet, wrapped in a chorus of vocals and shimming guitars the message isn’t dark, rather it’s full of hope.
Skyline was recorded between Paris, San Francisco & and Ouessant a tiny island off the coast of West Britanny and mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros, M83, David Bowie, Psychic TV).
The new album by Erasure, "Tomorrow's world" will be out on 3 October 2011.
The first single taken from this album will be "When I start to (break it all down)
Tomorrow’s World is the band’s first album in more than four years.
Released on Mute on 3 October, Tomorrow’s World is produced by one of the dance scene’s most exciting new talents, Frankmusik and mixed by Rob Orton.
Tomorrow’s World was written in New York, London, and at Vince Clarke’s cabin studio. It was recorded in Maine, London and Los Angeles between January and June 2011, with Vince using his vintage collection of analog synths for the final touch.
All songs are written by Bell and Clarke.
As told before you can watch Erasure on 9th November 2011 at the AB in Brussels.

What's this all about, you think?
Well, it's quite simple. The Arch, the Belgian band who scored a classic with "Babsi ist tod", signed a recorddeal with Echozone and they do something very special.
Everyone who becomes their friend on their Facebookpage will be mentioned on the recordsleeve from their forthcoming album.
This is certainly something to show your grandchildren once, not?
