New album 'Scattered & Buried' by The Foreign Resort finally available

02nd of February 2013, 14:45

On September 25th 2012 Monolathe Recordings released The Foreign Resort's current LP "Scattered & Buried" in the USA on CD as well as worldwide as a download. From February 2nd 2013 on, the CD and a bit delayed the vinyl will be available via afmusic (TS-Musix).

"Scattered & Buried" is a collection of remakes, remixes and new songs, that shows the sound in the stress field of New Wave, Shoegaze and Post rock consequently and stands in the tradition of bands such as The Cure, Joy Division and Editors. Already with the opener "Delayed" it gets clearly, with which implication The Foreign Resort move their way, followed by the epic song "Stop killing me, we should never be apart". "Lost My Way(2012)", originally released on the "Offshore"-release, breaks the Wavepop of the band's early days completely and heaves the song to a complete new level.

And no release of the Danes would be complete without one song, in which you can lose yourself. "We're gonna drown before we give in" is the dominating topic behind "Tide". The release gets supplemented by remixes from Novachild, Sway and Evol, who picked the fans' favourite songs and packed them into a complete new atmosphere. "Scattered & Buried" is an important step for The Foreign Resort and shows clearly, what to expect in the future of this band, that already toured the USA successfully twice. For whom the band was an unwritten piece of paper, will find the perfect introduction with "Scattered & Buried".

MYRNINEREST - ''Jhonn'', Uttered Babylon, Live in Hasselt

02nd of February 2013, 10:31

MYRNINEREST was formed in 2012 by David Tibet as a new Sphere for him and his friends and family to work within. David founded Current 93 - remember their mesmerizing two concerts in 2011 at the Open Circuit Pand 'Koloniale Waren' - in 1984 and has since worked with such idiosyncratic artists as Nurse With Wound, Nick Cave, Shirley Collins, Tiny Tim, Anthony, Bill Fay, Nick Blinko and Baby Dee. Also a publisher and artist, he recently had an exhibition of his paintings, Magog at the Maypole (Sex of Stars) at NYC's prestigious White Columns gallery.

MYRNINEREST's debut album "Jhonn", Uttered Babylon is a hallucinatory and harrowing work about the life and death of Coil's Jhonn Balance as seen through the eyes of his close friend and colleague David Tibet. With all music on the album composed and played by James Blackshaw, Tibet and Blackshaw are joined onstage by Current 93's violinist Aloma Ruiz Boada, Andrew Liles (electronics), and Reinier van Houdt (piano/organ).

As MYRNINEREST perform, a specially commissioned new film by Davide Pepe about Jhonn Balance - using archival material from David Tibet's own collection and photographs supplied by Jhonn's father - is projected behind them.

The ensemble made its debut performance at Antony's Meltdown Festival in London in August 2012. After Berlin and Lucern they will introduce Myrninerest "Jhonn", Uttered Babylon for the first time live in Belgium at kunstencentrum BELGIE (Hasselt) on March 23rd 2013.

It's All In The Game by Nena released on cd

01st of February 2013, 19:36

When originally released in late 1985, Nena – the band and the singer – were riding high after the international success of the memorable No.2 hit single '99 Red Balloons', which is included here in remixed form.

This album was the English language version of Nena's "Feuer und Flamme", and was released in late 1985 – their only full-length English language album. Features the single ‘It's All In The Game', the album's title-track, which was the only English single to be released.

This album was the follow up to their international compilation "99 Luftballons". This album compiled songs from their first two German LP's, though five songs had been translated to English.

As well as extensive liner notes, this release also includes the bonus of four additional tracks, which have never issued on CD in the UK before

New details about the new album by The Klinik

01st of February 2013, 19:32

Belgian Industrial legend The Klinik returns after 22 years with a new album in the original line up. “Eat Your Heart Out” is the perfect continuation of the classic minimalist-cold sound of the band that still stands as one of the most innovative in the scene. Available on CD and as a limited edition on heavy white vinyl.

A legend returns with the first new album in the original line up after 22 years! When Marc Verhaeghens and Dirk Ivens formed under the “The Klinik”-moniker more than 29 years ago, they created an all-new subgenre of electronic music with their enthralling mix of cold, harsh, sequencer-dominated sounds, watered down arrangements, minimalist lyrics and a distinctive, hissing vocal style. Floor fillers, like “Memories”, “Moving Hands” or “Black Leather” are still standard repertory in most underground clubs around the world and the group’s bare-bones-no-nonsense Industrial-sound is an important inspiration for aspiring groups to this day.

Now, Out Of Line Music are releasing “Eat Your Heart Out”, the long-awaited new long player of this seminal band. In a way, this release closes a circle, as The Klinik were the main inspiration for founding the label in the first place and the song “Out Of Line” fr! om the legendary “Face To Face” album served as a name-giver. On “Eat Your Heart Out”, the band has assembled 9 new tracks in the trademark The-Klinik-sound which trickles out of the speakers in a cold, menacing, sparse and often rather fearsome way.

The harsh sequencers and tribal rhythms become a borderline emotional experience and Dirk Ivens feeds the trauma-set-to-music with a fitting vocal delivery. “Eat Your Heart Out” is 100% The Klinik and sounds as if the band has never been off the map.

The minimalist sonic prowess of this group is still as up to date, innovative and modern as on day one on an album like a fever nightmare that serves as a thoroughly impressive new sign of life from one of the greatest innovators in underground Electronica. The Klinik are back, expanded with new member Peter Mastbooms, and the new long player is released on CD and as a special limited edition on heavy white vinyl. Nobody does it like The Klinik!

IAMX feels quite delicate to me. It needs understanding and effort to really see the bigger picture. The live show can do that, it can convince people, but from my internal feeling, it can be uncomfortable.

I am often a little frustrated by the complexity of my music, which in turn motivates me to keep composing, hoping that one day I will write a simple song.
