EMI has just announced the return of Ultravox with their first studio album in 28 years. Following on from "Return To Eden" reformation shows in 2009, the Ultravox line-up with Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross and Warren Cann has recorded a 12-track collection of brand new songs which will be released on May 28th.
Full details of the album will be revealed soon along with the thirteen-date tour they will be embarking on later this year.
Celebrating the digital release of the new Tribute to Harold Budd compilation "Lost in the humming air" Oktaf Records is kicking out a track by San Francisco based guitar-avantgardist Christopher Willits for free download. "Olancha Hello" - inspired by the Harold Budd classic "Olancha Farewell" - is the 5th track in Oktafs sketches series as well as Willits contribution to "Lost in the humming air".
Other artists featured on the CD are Deaf Center, Loscil, Martin Fuhs, Biosphere, Xela, Marsen Jules, Andrew Thomas, Mokira, Taylor Deupree, Rafael Anton Irisarri, Porn Sword Tobacco and bvdub.
The digital release is now available on iTunes, Beatport, Boomkat, Bleep and many other stores.
The CD will be distributed by Kompakt from April 9th.
