Isolated in an upstate, NY bedroom studio exists TSTI, a solo project by artist S. Smith described as ‘dark, hazy synthetic pop.’ Constructing musical landscapes that combine pounding drum machines with elevated melodies, TSTI stirs the echoes of his 80’s influences into a pot of contradicting emotions to establish a diverse yet familiar and powerful sound.

The genesis of TSTI began in a 2003 but did not show its face until the summer 2011 with the self-released, 4 song demo Black Envelope EP. The first 10 months of 2012 TSTI spent writing, recording and mixing his full-length release “evaluations” which consist of 9 tracks assessing those that surround him. With evaluations now unleashed, Smith is deep in the writing stages of the next installment.

After the cassette edition of Mondo Music sold out in less than two months, it's time to go for the vinyl LP version too. For our first time on wax, we tried to do something special for the occasion.
Each LP comes in thick, rough cardboard die-cut sleeve, with full-color labels and full-color insert on tracing paper, all housed in strong, picture-disc-like PVC sleeve.

After releasing a small “taster” in the shape of an exclusive 3” CD together with the picture LP re-release of their 1996 album “Tanzpalast 2000”, now here’s the full version (German: “Vollversion*) of the EP “Computerklang”. At the same time, this EP release officially launches the WELLE: ERDBALL year 2013, filled with loads of highlights! Coinciding with this year’s WAVE-GOTIK-TREFFEN (WGT) in Leipzig, Germany, the long-awaited Best-Of compilation “20 Jahre” (engl.: 20 years) will finally see the light of day.
