Synopsis
Frankfurt, 1958. Johann Radmann is een jonge, ambitieuze advocaat. Via een tip van een journalist ontdekt hij dat bepaalde overheidsdiensten en instituten samenzweren om de nazi-misdaden in de doofpot te houden. Johann riskeert alles te verliezen dat hem dierbaar is. Maar toch werkt hij als een bezetene om het bewijsmateriaal te openbaren dat duizenden ex-SS'ers, van wie velen ondertussen succesvolle carrières hebben in de ambtenarij, linkt aan de gruwel van Auschwitz.
'Im Labyrinth des Schweigens' belicht een vaak vergeten periode uit de Duitse naoorlogse geschiedenis. Eind jaren '50, in volle economische heropleving, bleven de meeste Duitsers de ogen sluiten voor hun oorlogsverleden.

IM LABYRINTH DES SCHWEIGENS is gebaseerd op de vaak vergeten geschiedenis van het onderzoek dat leidde tot het tweede Auschwitz-proces, dat onder leiding van Fritz Bauer plaatsvond tussen 1963 en 1965. Hoewel de meerderheid van de Duitse bevolking ontkende dat ze van het bestaan van Auschwitz wisten, was er in de jaren '50 een handvol mannen en vrouwen die – ondanks de sociale en politieke oppressie – wilden verzekeren dat Duitsland haar verleden niet zou ontvluchten. Zij wilden ervoor zorgen dat Duitsland het eerste land zou zijn waar ze zelf hun oorlogscriminelen vervolgden voor hun misdaden. Het zou echter jaren aan voorbereiding kosten voordat deze rechtszaken ook daadwerkelijk plaats zouden vinden.
Billy Chainsaw says: “While re-watching Godard’s Alphaville some years ago, the thematic and visual similarities between the movie and the writings of William S. Burroughs hit me harder than a slug from a.45. The more I investigated the connections, the more apparent they became… until my journey reached a conclusion that resonates in Burroughs’ last ever written words: ‘Love? What is it? Most natural painkiller what there is. LOVE’.
The work of UK artist Billy Chainsaw, the collection of mixed media art delivers a visual cut-up of the work of author William S. Burroughs and director Jean-Luc Godard’s 1965 movie Alphaville. Chainsaw’s art sees Burroughs and Alphaville’s male protagonist, Lemmy Caution, move in and out of the fictional cities of Alphaville and Interzone (a location that features heavily in Burroughs’ writings); both conspiring to smash the shackles of control, both in search of love.

Essence Of Minds returns with 'The break up!' album with exclusive CD extras
After the EP trilogy "Escape", "Hate" and "Wrong" Norway's Essence Of Mind returns with a brand new album - "The break up" - which will be out on April 10th. For their 4th album the band decided to give the buyers of the physical format, the CD, some extra tracks which will not be included on the download version of the album which can now be pre-ordered on Bandcamp (and in the next days on iTunes and Amazon too).
As a bonus the physical version of the album features the powerful melodic and 80's tainted electro rework by Technomancer of "Wrong", the dancefloor remix by Xenturion Prime of "Hate" and the exclusive mix of "The Other Side" by Vigilante.

Warner Bros. has won a bidding war for the movie rights to It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War, a memoir by Lynsey Addario.
Jennifer Lawrence is attached to star in a package that also includes director Steven Spielberg and producer Andrew Lazar.
Addario is a war photographer who has spent time in war zones ranging from Afghanistan to the Congo to Somalia. She is one of the few females in a predominantly male club and was also at one point kidnapped.
Wynn Wygal, an exec at Lazar's Warners-based banner Mad Chance Productions, was instrumental in bringing in the book. This is the second major project to be thrown in development centering on a real-life figure to which Lawrence is attached. In January, she and her Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence boarded The Dive, the true love story of Cuban diver Francisco 'Pipin' Ferreras and the French-born diver Audrey Mestre.
Lawrence is currently shooting Joy, in which she portrays Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano.
Spielberg, Lazar and Warners first teamed to make American Sniper before Spielberg left the project over budgetary concerns. This look at war will be a take two.
