With their debut ‘Heaven or Hell’ the German electro act ES23 managed to gain a lot of attention in the international industrial/electro scene. Since then it was never really quite around the band. Lots of activities like compilation appearances, remixes and live shows kept the band busy until 2013 when they started the recording of their second album. Originally planned as an E.P. it expanded to a full album within almost no time!
The strong mixture of warm melodies and harsh, rough electronic beats is the unique sound ES23 creates. Songs like ‘Mutatio’, ‘What if’ (in a fully new recorded version) , ‘Open the Gates’ or ‘Nightmare’ show the variety in the bands sound. With ‘Wired’ and ‘This is Anarchy’ they present guest vocalists to their songs similar to their debut while the song ‘Change’ is completely written by band member Pat Rinzler. As extra bonus, the album features remixes by ‘Chrom’, ‘Readjust’ and ‘Chainreactor’. The most varied album produced by ES23 so far!

Follow the lives of Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) - three flatmates who are just trying to get by and overcome life's obstacles-like being immortal vampires who must feast on human blood. Hundreds of years old, the vampires are finding that beyond sunlight catastrophes, hitting the main artery, and not being able to get a sense of their wardrobe without a reflection-modern society has them struggling with the mundane like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts.
