The wait is finally over. After releasing the teaser EP “In Your Eyes” (high on German Alternative Charts DAC) Swedish Cryo now finally deliver their long awaited new album “Retropia”.
Their most complete work up-to-date. Many magazines call them the next big swedish electronic export to finally take the place of Covenant. As always Cryo is in the leading edge of electronic music constantly seeking new paths, exploring new ways to bring you nothing else than pure perfection. “Retropia” is NO exception from this rule. 11 brilliant tracks from direct floorfillers like “The Portal”, “Believer” and “In Your Eyes” via brutally hard "Shelter" and melodic "Too much" to the enormous electro-epos “So Close” which is divided into three different tracks/parts building from slow beautiful atmospheres to a dancefloor inferno.
Simply beautiful!! And we have not even mentioned the fantastic artwork. 24 page booklet where art and music combine to one.

"Shelter" is the fourth album by contemporary shoegazers Alcest, the destination of a long creative musical journey into vast new territories. More than ever, the French outfit embraces the dreamy guitar textures of shoegaze and blends it with the sweetness of British band Cocteau Twins- dream pop pioneers of the mid to late 80's era, epic, soundtrack-like melodies and progressive song structures. The album, which also features a guest appearance from Slowdive's Neil Halstead, was recorded at Sundlaugin Studio, Iceland, with Sigur Rós producer Birgir Jón Birgisson, who masterfully gave "Shelter" its light and ethereal sound.
The limited 2CD deluxe edition is packaged with a 48 page hardcover book (7x7 inches) includes a bonus track.
An upcoming announcement in the form of a video; Voicecoil are a Denver based Futurepop act, nesting their roots in the early 2000s sound made popular by acts such as Colony 5 and Glis.
Melodic, catchy and traditional, Voicecoil are both a direct response to nay-sayers of the Futurepop revival, and a talented new sound by themselves.
Expect an album with Juggernaut Music Group shortly.
Now, that's a good start for 2014, not?
