Het duurt nog één weekje en dan is er Black Easter in Antwerpen. Het zwart Paasfeestje gaat door in de Zappa op (hoe kan het anders) : het paasweekend van 26 en 27 maart.

The names of W-Festival already were impressive, and today two icons from the 80s are added. First, there is Marc Almond of Soft Cell, but Alphaville plays as well.
Alphaville is still very active in Germany , and who ever saw them, knows that this band belongs to the top of its genre. The organizers also have announced the time table set , see below.

W-Festival had al een indrukwekkend programma, en daar zijn vandaag meteen nog eens twee iconen uit de jaren 80 aan toegevoegd. Allereerst is er Marc Almond, maar ook Alphaville is van de partij. Alphaville is in Duitsland nog steeds volop actief, en wie ze ooit aan het werk zag (bijv. op Eurorock) weet dat deze band tot de top van zijn genre behoort. Early May Velvet Acid Christ's Greatest Hits album will be released on Metropolis Records. Bryan Erickson looked at You Tube, Last FM and even asked his fans on Facebook advice to compile the list. He also added a few of his personal favourites. He restored the tracks and mixed them again. The tracklist looks like this:

Begin mei zal het Greatest Hits album van Velvet Acid Christ verschijnen op Metropolis Records. Bryan Erickson nam een kijkje op You , Last FM en won het advies van zijn fans in op Facebook. Last year the Honeymoon Cowboys was the headlining band on the first BIM day. Who then saw Antonio Palermo, Klaas Hoogerwaard , Tom Van Troyen, Kris Dries and Thomas François understood that the band is more than "a group that features some ex- Siglo XX members".
Honeymoon Cowboys is not a journey to the past, but a band with a unique vision and a future. And yes in May, the first CD of the Honeymoon Cowboys will be released (the previous release was a live recording of their performance at Eurorock). The band invites you on 7th May at Cafe Cafe (no, that's not a typo) in Hasselt for the CD-release.
Vorig jaar waren de Honeymoon Cowboys de hoofdact op de eerste BIM-dag. Wie toen Antonio Palermo, Klaas Hoogerwaard , Tom Van Troyen Kris Dries en Thomas François aan het werk zag, begreep dat de band meer is dan “een groep waarin een paar mannen van Siglo XX zitten”.
Honeymoon Cowboys is geen reis naar het verleden, maar een band met een eigen visie en een toekomst. En jawel in mei is de allereerste cd van de Honeymoon Cowboys (de vorige release was een liveregistratie van hun optreden tijdens Eurorock) een feit. De band nodigt je uit op 7 mei in Cafe Cafe (neen, dat is geen typfout) in Hasselt voor de cd-release.
With deep regret the organization of Black Easter has to announce the cancellation of Les Panties at Black Easter 2016. Due to personal problems, the band decided not to play gigs during 2016 and that also includes the one at Black Easter. They did everything to find a marvelous replacement in short time, and we’re sure they did: the French Saigon Blue Rain. The band will play on Sunday 27th March. Saigon Blue Rain is known for its ethereal cold wave, and that of course fits more than perfect in the program we offer you this year.
Als organisator heb je het natuurlijk niet altijd in de hand, en de organisatie van Black Easter meldt ons dat Les Panties hun optreden heeft geannuleerd. Het gaat om interne moeilijkheden, en daarom heeft de band besloten dit jaar niet meer op te treden, dus ook niet op Black Easter. De organisatie heeft evenwel in een recordtempo een meer dan aardige vervanging gevonden: de Franse Saigon Blue Rain. De band speelt op 27 maart. Saigon Blue Rain maakt cold wave met hemelse vocalen, en dat past natuurlijk mooi bij de rest van het programma.
