Jacob Kirkegaard is a Danish sound artist residing in Berlin. With an impressive resumé and an extensive recording carrer, that ranges from collaborations with Else Marie Pade to presentations all over the world, including MOMA in New York, Jacob Kirkegaards work should need little to no introduction.
Jacob Kirkegaard's first major retrospective solo exhibition opens at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde, Denmark on the 30th of January. In relation to this event Posh Isolation is proud to present a triple-cassette album containing five of Kirkegaard's previously unreleased works. The five compositions all bear the signature sound of Jacob Kirkegaard’s processed field recordings slowly envolving into carefully crafted drone works, rich in both detail and emotion. The box contains the following pieces; Æsturarium, Iron Wind, Déjà Vu, Fool’s Fire & Under Bjerget, divided over three tapes and three hours of sound.

Ildsvanger is the first full length offering of the Copenhagen based black metal project Slægt, an it's also unarguably their strongest and most mature release to date. Performed and recorded by protagonist Oskar J. Frederiksen with drums by Adam Ccsquele Nielsen. Ildsvanger follows the same path as laid out on their earlier releases but the ten tracks that shape their new full length takes us much further into the darkness. With Ildsvanger, Slægt manages to deliver some of the hardest hitting anthemic black metal magic that has come out of Denmark in a long time!

SYNOPSIS
Halverwege de 17e eeuw is Nederland een van de grootste zeevarende naties ter wereld. Na het overlijden van de legendarische admiraal Maarten Tromp, is Michiel de Ruyter zijn gedoodverfde opvolger. In diverse zeeslagen heeft De Ruyter getoond dat hij een briljant strateeg is. Politiek gezien is het Hollandse volk verdeeld. Oranjeaanhangers en republikeinen vechten om de macht. De hyperintelligente republikein Johan de Witt is als raadspensionaris de machtigste man van de Republiek der Nederlanden, maar zijn tegenstanders proberen de onzekere, maar zeer ambitieuze jonge prins Willem III stadhouder te maken. De republikeinen is er alles aan gelegen dat de oorlog met de Engelsen wordt gewonnen. Terwijl zijn vrouw Anna met haar kinderen vertwijfeld achter blijft, weet De Ruyter met een ingenieuze strategie op spectaculaire wijze de Engelse vloot te verpletteren. Bij het volk is hij ongekend populair, maar onderlinge complotten en samenzweringen leiden tot conflicten tussen de regerende macht en de aanhangers van de prins. Het Huis van Oranje scherpt de messen en De Ruyter wordt meegesleurd in een stroom van politieke ontwikkelingen. De Ruyter en zijn gezin dreigen het slachtoffer te worden van een politiek steekspel waarin hij op een onmogelijke missie wordt gestuurd.

SYNOPSIS
Nelly Lenz keert na de oorlog lichamelijk zwaar beschadigd terug naar haar huis in het verwoeste Berlijn in 1945. Haar misvormde gezicht krijgt ze terug met een gezichtsreconstructie maar liever heeft ze haar leven terug van voor de oorlog met haar man Johnny. Ondanks het vermoeden dat Johnny haar heeft verraden en naar een concentratiekamp heeft gestuurd, gaat ze naar hem op zoek. Johnny die ervan overtuigd is dat Nelly niet meer leeft, herkent haar niet bij hun ontmoeting. Haar gelijkenis met zijn doodgewaande vrouw is niet verontrustend voor Johnny. Hij stelt voor dat Nelly de rol aanneemt van zijn vrouw. Hiermee kan hij de erfenis veilig stellen van haar in de Holocaust vermoorde familie. Nelly stemt in met het plan en wordt haar eigen dubbelgangster. Om haar leven terug te krijgen moet zij erachter komen of Johnny haar verraden heeft en ooit heeft liefgehad….
Andrew King's first concert in 2015 will be a special double-set performance, with the full band of Hunter Barr and John Murphy, at the Mariakapel, Leuven, Belgium on the 14th of March.
The first set will be of traditional pieces, but the longer second set, and the other associative performances of the evening, will be of World War I related material, a suitable topic considering that some three hundred townsfolk were massacred during the invasion, and the destruction of the city’s great medieval library was to become a potent symbol of the new warfare.
Also, associative events will consist of a Radio Klebnikov session and a projection of the film De Brand van Leuven. Kroniek van een oorlogsmisdaad.
