In March 2011 an invited audience of 300 eager music devotees entered the radio studios of SWR1 in Mainz, Germany to participate in a unique concert experience of the long and storied career of multi platinum Canadian recording artist Loreena McKennitt.
Accompanied only by her long standing musical companions, Brian Hughes (guitars) and Caroline Lavelle (cello), over the course of an hour they performed songs from Loreena’s then newly released recording The Wind That Shakes The Barley alongside a selection of favourites drawn from across her catalogue of nine studio albums, including fan favourites The Lady of Shalott, Bonny Portmore and The Bonny Swans.
Front Line Assembly is going to be re-releasing Plasticity, the killer single originally released in 1996. The original had only three tracks, Plasticity, Replicant, and a remix of Plasticity by Haujobb.
The new version will have 13 tracks and be released this year on Infacted Recordings as part of their Classixx Series. This release will definitely sell out (as many of the Classixx have) - limited to only 1,000 copies worldwide.

Since their formation in 1976, The Fall have released twenty eight studio albums, and more than double that number of live albums, compilations and other packages.
"Ersatz G.B." is their 29th offering, and, as with any Fall record, retains many of their most distinctive elements whilst offering a fresh take on Mark E Smith’s familiar style and subject matter. The current line-up of Smith (vox), David Spurr (bass), Elini Poulou (keys), Pete Greenway (guitar) and Kierion Mellings (drums) are now relatively established by Fall standards, and deliver another intriguing addition to the band’s body of work here.
This, their first album for Cherry Red Records, contains all the trademarks of a great Fall album. It will be issued on CD, LP and digital formats, and will be proceeded by a new 7” single, featuring an exclusive B-side track.
The Fall will be playing several dates to promote the album’s release, including a UK tour in November and an appearance at All Tomorrow’s Parties in March.
While Chesko is making his plans to give us the birth of the 2nd album by Der Klinke, he proudly presents a brand new song by his spin-off project Story Off, a band that is also featured on the latest Dead By Dawn-compilation.
Our verdict? Minimal wave like it should be! Absolute Body Control with a doomy feel...or something like that!
