Swedish eccentric and artistic electro collective The Knife has recently updated their Facebook with a new avatar picture and uploaded also two short video teasers, which immediately raises our hope on a possible reunion.
In 2014, The Knife announced their last show after releasing their fourth album 'Shaking The Habitual' the year before (2013). Earlier, brother and sister Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer released their debut album 'The Knife' (2001), then successors 'Deep Cuts' (2003) and 'Silent Shout' (2006).
Updating their profile picture and sharing these two cryptic video teasers, after three years of silence on their Facebook, seem to indicate something is brewing.
The first clip shows a creepy close-up of a gummy cherry candy being cut into pieces by a rather large ‘knife’, while the second seems to suggest being a kind of intro for a cooking program, entitled 'Mother Of Knives Cooking Class'. Unfortunately, the music used for this video is not new material but taken from their last studio album 'Shaking The Habitual'.

Het Zweedse excentrieke en artistieke electro collectief The Knife heeft eerder deze week hun Facebook avatar aangepast en twee teaser korte video's teasers geüpload, wat bij ons meteen de hoop over een mogelijke een reünie doet rijzen.
In 2014, kondigde The Knife zelf hun 'laatste' show aan nadat het duo in 2013 hun vierde album 'Shaking The Habitual' uitgebracht. Eerder brachten broer en zus Olof Dreijer en Karin Dreijer hun debuut album ‘The Knife’ (2001), opvolgers ’Deep Cuts' (2003) en 'Silent Shout' (2006) uit.
Het updaten en delen van deze twee cryptische video-teasers, na drie jaar stilte op hun Facebook, lijkt er op te wijzen dat er voorbereidingen aan de gang zijn.
De eerste clip toont creepy close-up van een gummy kersensnoepje dat door een een vrij groot ‘mes’ in stukken gesneden wordt, terwijl de tweede een soort intro van een kookprogramma, getiteld 'Mother Of Knives Cooking Class' lijkt te suggereren. Helaas is er geen nieuw werk te horen maar een track uit hun laatste album 'Shaking The Habitual’.

Last week Sinead O'Connor posted a 12-minute Facebook video about how she struggles every day to stay alive. She declares she’s coming out publicly with her mental illness condition to support and encourage other people that are having to deal with the same situations. She wants to show them they are not alone.
"I make this video because I'm one of the millions of people suffering from a mental illness. Therefore, I make this video because we are so alone. You must take care of us. I do not want to die but every day is a fight."
In the video that the singer herself shared on Facebook, Sinead O'Connor tells us in detail how terrible she feels at this time. She also makes a desperate call for more understanding for people who suffer a mental illness. The singer is currently living in a motel in New Jersey (USA) while her family and children live in Ireland.

Sinead O'Connor heeft vorige week op haar Facebook een video van 12 minuten geplaatst over hoe ze elke dag weer opnieuw moet vechten om in leven te blijven. Ze verklaart dat ze met met haar geestelijke ziekteconditie naar buiten komt om andere mensen te ondersteunen en aan te moedigen die zichzelf in dezelfde situatie bevinden. "Ik maak deze video omdat ik één van de miljoenen mensen die aan een psychische ziekte lijdt, daarom maak ik deze video, omdat we zo alleen zijn. Jullie moeten voor ons zorgen. Ik wil niet doodgaan, maar elke dag Is een gevecht. ""
In de video die de zanger persoonlijk op Facebook heeft gedeeld, vertelt Sinead O'Connor ons in detail hoe vreselijk ze zich op dit moment voelt. Ze doet een zeer emotionele en wanhopige oproep tot meer begrip voor mensen met een psychische aandoening. De zangeres woont momenteel in een motel in New Jersey (USA) terwijl haar familie en kinderen in Ierland wonen.
The Italian cult electronic outfit KIRLIAN CAMERA is putting finishing touches on their new studio album “Hologram Moon”, which promises to be an exceptional piece of work. In advance, there will be a single titled "Sky Collapse", a collaborative effort with COVENANT frontman Eskil Simonsson, who also took to the microphone for one of the two club versions.
The Swedes and the Italians had already shared a stage earlier on and created quite a stir in doing so (scroll down to watch the video).
We are curious about how this joint venture will sound. "Sky Collapse" comes out in October and collectors can look forward to a limited vinyl edition.
Kirlian Camera is headlining BIMFEST 2017 on Friday 15th December at De Casino - St-Niklaas - B

Er zal eerst een single verschijnen met als titel "Sky Collapse", een samenwerking met COVENANT frontman Eskil Simonsson, die ook achter de microfoon ging staan voor één van de twee clubversies van dit nummer.
De Zweden en de Italianen hebben al eens eerder samen het podium onveilig gemaakt tot ieders jolijt en verbazing (Zie video hieronder).
We zijn in ieder geval heel benieuwd hoe deze joint venture zal klinken. "Sky Collapse" komt uit in oktober, en de fans mogen nu al uitkijken naar een Limited edition vinyl uitgave!
