Cacophonous is proud to announce that on 18th November two pivotal releases from the label’s back catalogue will be re-issued, re-mastered off course. Seen Through The Veils Of Darkness … The Second Spell from the Norwegian black metal band Gehenna, and Infidel Art by Japanese extreme metal pioneers Sigh.
Gehenna formed in 1993. The band signed to Cacaphonous in 1995 to release their second studio album Seen Through The Veil Of Darkness … The Second Spell. The music was kept melodic and atmospheric. Without losing the darkness in their songs, Gehenna added some groove and a few catchy hooks, or experiment with less traditional sounds and effects. The lyrics focused on the reoccurring themes of the black sun, the Morningstar, Lucifer. Some where inspired by the life and writings of Aleister Crowley, whilst other were sinister verses based on dark and cold landscapes. This album alos includes the only song Gehenna ever wrote with Norwegian lyrics, Vinterriket, with guest performance by Garm from Ulver.
Sigh formed in Tokyo in 1989 and was the first Japanese black metal band that garnered international recognition.
Four years after their debut ‘Tales From The Shades’, they team up with Wool-E Discs to release another wayward and wonderful album called ‘The Fire Lives Inside’. It’s a tribute to the earth and her seasons, an exploration of the wheel of the year theme with a song for each of the eight seasonal festivals and, in addition to that, three bonus tracks.
For this album they collaborated with other magicians and musicians such as Traumasutra (Hybryds), George Mensink (Kristus Kut) and Mark Burghgraeve (Somnambulist, ex-Klinik).

16 December marks the start of the 15th BIMFestival, something you can read more about on this site in other articles.
16 December also marks the date of the release of the debut CD EP of Invisible Sky.
Invisible Sky is the new musical chapter in Jean-Marc Lederman's quest for the perfect (pop)-voice.
Jean-Marc Lederman played with a lot of people, from Fad Gadget & Gene Loves Jezebel to Alain Bashung & The The and from Kid Montana to Ghost & Writer. Some people in dark corners of the internet even dare to say he was a core member of The Weathermen, Susana Stammer will surely deny this.
He's forever been on a quest for the perfect (female) voice, this resulted in amongst others colaborations with Sophie & Raya from Dark Poem, Froxeanne from The Frozen Autumn, Julianne Regan from All About Eve (as Jules Et Jim) and Mari Kattman from Day Twelve (as Mari & The Ghost).
This time he went on hunting in the forests of the far north to rescue Bella from her tiger near the Pole.
Bella is not fiction, she's real, called Gabriella Åström and the leadsinger for upcoming Swedish synthpop/electro act Me The Tiger.
Together they made 4 stunning synthpop tracks that will mesmerize fans of both Robyn, The Knife and even late 80's Cure.
Out on Wool-E Discs, the new sister label to Wool-E Tapes and available on 16 December at the BIMFestival in St Niklaas.
