This year Peter Slabbynck (EX-RZ, formerly known as Red Zebra) celebrated 35 years ‘I can’t live in a living room’ with 35 gigs in living rooms of fans. 34 concerts were given during the month of March. The 35th gig took place in May because it was a gift by Studio Brussel.
Slabbynck always stated this was an event would not be repeated. But because of all the positive reactions, he opted for a new event next year: 8 concerts at living rooms of fans on 1 day!
This will take place on Sunday 27th March 2016, so Easter will not only bring eggs next year. By that time the first cd ‘Future Retard’ of EX-RZ should be out.

Voor Slabbynck was dit een eenmalig evenement en daar blijft hij bij. Maar de reacties waren zo overweldigend dat er een vervolg komt. ‘In 2016 gaat we het tegenovergestelde doen van een marathon en opteren we voor een sprint. De bedoeling is om op zondag 27 maart 8 concerten op één dag te doen, het eerste om 9u, het laatste om 23u. Een ferme uitdaging, vooral op organisatorisch vlak, en niet toevallig op Pasen. Dan is het rustig op de wegen en kunnen mijn gitarist Frits Standaert en ik op Paasmaandag wat bekomen van die helse dag.’ Rond diezelfde periode verschijnt ook ‘Future Retard’, de eerste full cd van EX-RZ. Apparat has announced details of a tour - Soundtracks Live - at select venues throughout Europe from August – November 2015. The dates begin at the Festival Tauron Nowa Muzyka in Katovice on 20 August and include a London show at the Barbican on 7 November 2015, which will be followed by a club night at the Village Underground later that evening.
Apparat’s set will include new music written for film and theatre and will be accompanied by long time collaborators Transforma. Transforma performed with Apparat on the 2013 Krieg and Frieden tour, projecting their live visual accompaniment to Apparat’s music for Tolstoy’s War and Peace and recently worked on the recent Martin Gore album launch in their hometown of Berlin (www.transforma.de).
In addition, Apparat has announced details of a series of DJ dates for a new set that originally premiered at Mute Mexico Festival in March this year. The set features exclusive edits and reworkings of Apparat and Moderat music, as well as music he has produced.

Originally released in 1979, Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” was the band’s first narrative concept album. Waters drew from personal history to chart the life and times of the central character, a mentally disintegrating rock star haunted by the wartime death of the father he never knew. The album’s thematic content and musical mastery, exemplified by worldwide chart-topper “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)” and radio staples “Run Like Hell” and “Comfortably Numb,” struck a chord with audiences worldwide. Pink Floyd’s subsequent 1980-81 tour for the album was unprecedented in its use of sets and theatrics, but the scale of production limited it to 31 dates in just four cities. “The Wall” wouldn’t be seen again until 1990, when Waters and an all-star cast performed a benefit production on the site of the no-man’s-land that had until recently divided West and East Germany. Rock Legends YES begin preparations for their 2016 UK-European Tour
Grammy Award winning pioneers of progressive rock, YES have achieved worldwide success with a history spanning 47 years and 21 studio albums. The band is known for its expansive songs, mystical lyrics, elaborate album art and live stage sets.
Earlier this year YES tragically lost founding member, bassist Chris Squire. Chris had a career spanning over four decades and has influenced as well as played with some of the most notable musicians in rock and pop history. “It’s hard to imagine the future without Chris! He will always be in our thoughts and mind. Chris was a one-off, larger than life human being, who brought a serious amount to everything he was part of,” said YES guitarist, Steve Howe
“It’s been harder than I can say to put thoughts to words—to express the sense of loss I feel upon the passing of my cherished friend and band mate, Chris Squire. I am without one of the most important, most loved people in my life. Chris was always a gentle but strong leader; a steadfast rock of my existence,” added YES drummer, Alan White.

There is no better way to honor the memory of Chris than moving forward and continuing the legacy of the band he co-founded back in 1968.
YES have just finished a successful tour in North America with rock legends TOTO, and Billy Sherwood doing an amazing job taking over for Chris. YES are now planning a massive 25 date tour across the UK and Europe. YES, for the first time in their history, will perform 1971’s ‘Fragile’ and 1980’s ‘Drama’.
“This is the first time we’ll be performing ‘Drama’ in its entirety. And most of the songs haven’t been performed in some 30 years,” stated Steve Howe.
YES are among of the longest lasting and the most successful of the ’70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band. YES retained the same sound, and performed much of the same repertoire they were doing in 1971, and for their trouble, found themselves being taken seriously a quarter of a century later. Their audience remained huge because they had always attracted younger listeners drawn to their mix of daunting virtuosity, cosmic (often mystical) lyrics, complex musical textures, and powerful yet delicate lead vocals.

IRFAN’s new, third album “The Eternal Return” is out through the French label PRIKOSNOVENIE /Mandalia-Music.
8 years after the majestic album "Seraphim", Irfan are now back with an album which continues the beauty of the journey: 'The Eternal Return'. This new album was recorded with the original singer of the band Denitza Seraphim.
The new masterpiece counts 10 titles; it travels from the Sahara desert, to the Siberian steppes via the Gardens of Jerusalem and even the mystical worlds of Hildegarde Von Bingen.
The flutes are hypnotic and the voices transcendental. Transcendence is all across the album, together with the theme of the eternal return, return to our original source, the Garden of Eden.
The male/female duo unavoidably reminds us of Dead Can Dance ; Irfan adapts "Salamander" from the album "Toward the within".
How can we best define this album? Overpowering ? Mystical ? Dreamlike ? Romantic ? Touched by divine grace ? All at once. The quintet gathers the Earth, the Sky, the fire and water in a kind of modern liturgy which honours the past, the Egyptian, the medieval and the Christian cultures. This journey, through numerous oriental instruments such as oud, santoor, psalterion, daf, bodhran, duduk, ney, kaval elevates us to the level of Life’s mystery.
