The song that became a feature of C-Lekktor‘s live sets in recent years finally gets an official release – in 3-track extended digital format or strictly limited edition 2-track vinyl version!
On the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, the controversial restart of the first nuclear reactor in Japan since the Fukushima disaster, and the 40th anniversary of the original Kraftwerk track’s release, the timing could not be more appropriate or topical for this release.
Mastered by long-term DWA and C-Lekktor associate Jan L at his XMP studios in Germany, the b-side of the 7″ limited edition is Jan’s own Noisuf-X mix of “Radioakktivity”. Strictly limited to 200 copies on heavyweight 42gm black vinyl, in hand-numbered matching yellow-and-black sleeve designed by Markko’s partner-in-crime in side-project Circuito Cerrado Orlando “Psyklon” Urizar, the vinyl version releases in early October.
Every year DWA manages to find some new spin on the concept of compilation albums – and 2015 is no exception!
This summer we present you with an eclectic collection of cover versions originally written and performed by 80s icons A Flock Of Seagulls, Army Of Lovers, Depeche Mode, Beastie Boys and Den Harrow, 90s alt rockers Deftones and Korn, industrial scene legends Grendel and And One, dating back as far as 1975 with seminal electro pioneers Kraftwerk all the way through to Nicki Minaj shaking her booty just a couple of years ago.
And yes “present” might just be the key word here – because you can pick this up for JUST ONE LOUSY US DOLLAR if you feel so inclined!
Well over a couple of years in the making since the original idea started being floated around the DWA roster, the level of satisfaction at this finally seeing the light of day is palpable…
Bands known principally for electronic music like vProjekt and Technolorgy reveal their talents on more traditional guitars and drums, acts like Terrolokaust and Sirus known for their electro style tackle 90s alt rock anthems…
Including 8 tracks previously unreleased, and by popular demand an instrumental mix of CygnosiC‘s massive international hit “Mad Desire”, we bring you THE soundtrack of the summer 2015…via DWA's own Bandcamp-storefront all for as little as JUST $1 or however much you may think it is worth… ;-)

"I Must Remember" is the 8th full-length release from the veteran electro group CTRL.
The new release will be 11 tracks in length with a departure from the sound of previous
records. No sequencers were used to track the music, a first for the band.
What remains is the core content of the band without all the flickering window
treatments. 17 years after their first release, the band continues to evolve.
The only thing constant is change....and CTRL.
Vertical Slump are Simon Marsham (guitars, vocals), Andrew Milk (drums, vocals), Ed Shellard (bass, vocals) and Peter Simpson (synthesizers), a quartet of time-served hands at the DIY foundry who are/were also involved in (amongst others) the bands Shopping, Gloss Rejection, Omi Palone and Circuit Breaker.
This collection of songs was recorded in February of this year at Sound Savers studios with Mark Jasper, and follows on neatly from where a cassette E.P of early demos left us, released earlier in 2015 through Mïlk Records.
In collaboration with Mark, they have produced a fully formed and insistent record, oozing with confidence and vigour. It is four tracks of galloping, compelling post-punk wherein vocals are gulped with ardent intensity; guitars jag and agitate across the mix, veering from the sweetly melodious to the darkly dissonant, while basslines rumble and lope hand-in-glove with sparse and sympathetic percussion. Keys change, amps squawk, and tense locked-in cadences give way to silvery, sweet-spot choruses.
Mastered with an added slice of punk grit by the evergreen Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory, these recordings can be seen as both a pulsating introduction to a band, and a persuading proposition of what’s to come in the future.
