New song from Dead Can Dance

25th of June 2012, 16:26

Dead Can Dance will release their new album on August 9th, their first new record in 16 years! Its title will be "Anastasis", a Greek word that roughly translates as 'rebirth' or 'resurrection', a suitable title for their reunion...

Via Pitchfork.com, they've also shared a new song from the album, "Amnesia". The song is sung by Brendan Perry, ie without Lisa Gerrard. Download it here, in exchange for an email address.

The band will play in Brussels at the Cirque Royal on September 29th, 2012 (sold-out).

A second new song and video from MONO ELECTRONIC DENSITY (exclusive)!

24th of June 2012, 20:31

Following a first preview song, "The Best of You", released on May 6th, Mono Electronic Density (M∃D), the Belgian electro band composed of Bernard Feron and R-Mod 654, today unveiled a second new song: "Human Inhuman".

This song is the title song of the band's second album 'Human Inhuman', due by the end of 2012 on Digital Density Records.

Bernard Feron also announced that his other project, Combat Voice, has published a remix of a song from the Chilian band Alt G: 'The Conspiracy'.

It's nice to see that those two Belgian EBM bands are very active!

New Dismantled EP comes in September

24th of June 2012, 10:42

The new Dismantled EP "Whole Wide World" is to be released September 7 in Europe via Dependent. The EP will contain new unreleased tracks and mixes, e.g. the new song "Deal" with guest vocals by Nero Bellum of Psyclon Nine and the winner of the "Disease" remix contest.

On his last Dismantled album "The War Inside Me“ in 2011, Gary Zon explored genius, madness, and the ever so thin line that separates one from the other. Much to everyone’s surprise, the album sounded like the missing link between the brilliantly bleak "Post-Nuclear“ and the sarcastic, club-ready "Standard Issue“.
The title track of the new EP - which is already known by the "Dependence 2012" compilation album - sounds like Gary Zon is feeling a bit more gracious these days. The signature Dismantled blend of gloom and sarcasm is still evident, but the hatred and aggression that in large part characterized "The War Inside Me“ seems to have given way to somewhat more accessible structures.

Also stylistically diverse remixers like Empty, God Module and Clicks! open new aspects and moods of the original tracks.

The tracks so far: Whole Wide World / Deal (feat. Nero Bellum of Psyclon Nine) / Disease (Sleepless Mix by Empty) / The Bullets From Your Eyes (instrumental) / Kill Or Be Killed (Feed Remix) / Disease (Contagious Remix by God Module) / The Whore Inside Me (Clicks! Remix) / Disease (Fuckme Remix by Noonatic) / Whole Wide World (instrumental)

New Velvet Acid Christ Album to be released un September!

24th of June 2012, 10:41

Velvet Acid Christ stands as the long running, innovative brainchild of Bryan Erickson. Over a career spanning 20 years, Velvet Acid Christ has fearlessly expanded its scope, seemingly enveloping an influence and forging the further refinement of the VAC sound.

On September 14th 2012 Europe will be assaulted by an audio force that promises to make your ears bleed. The day will go down in infamy because Velvet Acid Christ has returned to its evil roots of electronic dance music with the new longplayer "Maldire".

The artwork is done by Seven of Quartier Macabre and Joseph Schulthise. The booklet will contain all lyrics. No frills, no box sets. No singles. Just a strong, yes a really strong LP with 11 tracks. The vibe is spooky and angry. Very musical and epic.

The album is inspired by the witches and warlocks who were murdered by the roman and french Christians. VAC tapped into their energy, their will and channeled their vile hatred. Velvet Acid Christ´s Ode to all the Northern European Pagans

New album from X-Marks The Pedwalk

24th of June 2012, 10:39

X Marks the Pedwalk burst onto electro-industrial scene in the beginning of the 1990s. XMTP’s debut full-length recording, 1991's Freaks immediately established the act as a major force in the newly emerging industrial dance genre.

Over the next few releases, the sound of XMTP evolved, slowly the harshness of earlier releases faded away and the act experimented with blending more mainstream techno elements, culminating in 1996's Meshwork, which was met with cries of approval throughout the hard electro scene. The release of the album Drawback saw a triumphant blend of influences and musical growth, with styling ranging from more mainstream electro to moody synthetic soundscapes.

Then, at the peak of the acts creative output, X Marks The Pedwalk went dormant. A decade later, the legend returned with Inner Zone Journey. Showing that the musical genius of XMTP mastermind Sevren Ni-Arb has not dulled over time, Inner Zone Journey proved to be just that, a progressive musi! cal document of self-exploration. The Sun, The Cold And My Underwater Fear is a compelling continuation of that voyage of self-discovery and this time XMTP takes us on a journey through what haunts us. From vocalist Estefania’s soft pleading on the opening “You Are Gone”, the trance-like “Fallen Angel” to the darker, more rhythmic “Tormented Skin” & “No!”, we find XMTP in top form.
